"We stayed here for just 1 night on our way to Etosha, but wished we would have had the time to stay longer! We stayed in the 'family' room which contained 2 rooms (parent and kids room). We really enjoyed the meals and just sitting by their watering hole enjoying the camp fire, a beer and the great view of the antelope, giraffe, etc."

"We chose Aloegrove to relax for a couple of nights after our 1,800 mile tour of Namibia. The communication with the hosts Johan and Ivy was fabulous during the booking process. The lodge is a good 20 mins along a track, well signposted, and by this point we were used to Namibian roads, so the uneven bits were no surprise. We were greeted by staff and showed our fabulous accommodation, spacious and the attention to detail was brilliant, bubble bath for the bath with a spectacular view, beautiful quality bed linen, ground coffee etc etc etc... Everything is there that you could need! We self catered for the first night with the indoor braai, we ate at the lodge the second night, the chef made a beautiful meal and fantastic breakfast with scrambled ostrich egg. Afternoon coffee and cake is also a real treat. we joined Johan and Ivy's tour of their farm and feeding their rescued big cats. So informative about the all the animals. I highly recommend the tour, it was great fun and we learnt lots. Johan, Ivy and their lovely staff cannot do enough for the guests. On our last morning we sat down with a map with them and planned our net trip to Namibia, they shared their knowledge of the best routes and places to travel to, of course we will start and finish with a stay at Aloegrove! We stayed is some lovely places on our journey but nothing matched the luxurious experience at Aloegrove."

"This is a gorgeous lodge and the best staff from top to bottom! There has been much thought in the making of this beautiful place. From our welcome at reception by Hilga and Ashley to the grounds and wildlife that are cared for by Sau, Joseph and many others I’m sure. The lodge is just a unique setting with great chalets that were clean and comfortable thanks to Elly and Salom. Now the meals and dining plus bar area look out onto the property so that was quite enjoyable as were the evening fire pit under the stars. The meals prepared by Chefs Victoria and Frances were top notch delicious and the warm and wonderful service by Monika and Paulus was second to none. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. Thanks to everyone who made our stay memorable and thank you Christine (the owner) who had such a wonderful vision in making this lodge and the work she does at her lodge and in the area of Tsumeb."

"The hotel is located in a private tourist area, very quiet and comfortable. The hotel staff also explained in detail the tourist activities in the area. Unfortunately, it was too cold in the room at night and there was no heating."

"The Gesthouse is in the center of Tsumeb. Outside the territory and the buildings look nice, but inside the room (15th) was with streams on the walls and undrawn spots on bed linen. There is air conditioner, refrigerator, teapot. There were no cups, but at our request they were brought. Towels only one. The hanger is not. The shower is so arranged that the water flows more to the wall (take a shower is difficult). Wi-Fi worked stable. The staff tried to help."
