Landhaus Kössel ★★★★
"The hotel I stayed at was also very good, but Trip.com I made a mistake in the address and photos. The navigation address and photos show that the one is in a large lawn and the environment is better."
Ameron Neuschwanstein Alpsee Resort & Spa ★★★★
"I had a fantastic stay at the Ameron Hotel. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short distance from Neuschwanstein Castle and right by the beautiful Alpsee. It made exploring the area incredibly easy and enjoyable. The hotel itself is very clean and modern, with thoughtful design and great attention to detail. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding—plentiful, high-quality, and with a great variety to suit every taste. It really exceeded my expectations. Overall, I would strongly recommend Ameron Hotel to anyone visiting the area. Whether you’re here for the sights or just looking for a peaceful getaway, this place is a perfect choice"
ANA Panorama, Trademark Collection by Wyndham ★★★
"The room was average and older, but clean. The sofa was patinaed and needed an appraiser to verify its age. The hotel's exterior was pleasant. The location was excellent, with free parking. The town was nice to walk around, and Neuschwanstein Castle was a 40-minute drive away. The hotel was overpriced at 145 euros, and many hotels don't allow children to share a room. I recommend buying tickets early in the morning for Neuschwanstein Castle. I could only buy tickets for the 1:35 PM entrance at the window at 10:00 AM, and that day's tickets were sold out. I had to stay an extra day to get in the next day. A visit to Neuschwanstein Castle inside is a must; it's beautiful. Unfortunately, photography isn't allowed."
Hotel Müller ★★★
"The hotel's location is a slam dunk. Hohenschwangau Castle is directly in front of you, and Neuschwanstein Castle is visible behind you. From the window, you can see the carriages heading down to Hohenschwangau Castle. The Alpine lake is just a short walk away. It's a very old hotel, but it has an elevator and a shower. While there's no air conditioning, there are fans. Sleeping with the window open in Germany can be quite cold. The hotel itself is very comfortable, and the breakfast was well-prepared. It's a small selection, consisting of small slices of meat. Although the staff aren't native German, they were very welcoming. If you're traveling with children, be sure to contact the hotel in advance to confirm your room information; otherwise, the front desk staff will be very surprised. If you're traveling with children to visit Neuschwanstein Castle, I highly recommend this hotel. It saves you the hassle of traveling and you can rest in your room after hiking."
Hotel Sonne ★★★★
"The male front desk staff were very slow and irresponsible. Because we arrived earlier than check-in time, we left our luggage there. Several hours later, when we returned, our suitcases were still in the lobby. When I went to retrieve them, no one paid any attention, which raised suspicions about security. Furthermore, during check-in, another male front desk staff member didn't handle my check-in but instead went to another computer and chatted with a colleague about other things; I didn't know what they were talking about. Ultimately, a female staff member handled the check-in. After checking out, I left my luggage in the luggage room. The staff only gave me the key to the metal locker and didn't mention that I needed a room key to open the room door. However, I had already checked out and didn't have a room key, so I had to ask a cleaning staff member working in the basement for help. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the reception area is terrible!"
Hotel Hirsch ★★★★
"Everything was good except breakfast"
Landhotel Seeg ★★★
"We felt very comfortable in your house again; everything was perfect. Everything was very clean, the food was delicious, and the staff was attentive. We enjoyed the peace and relaxation in the Allgäu region."
Best Western Plus Hotel Fuessen ★★★★
"The hotel is located on the main road just outside Füssen, only a 5-10 minute walk to the town center. The hotel restaurant offers a wide variety of breakfast options, but it often hosts tour groups, so it can get crowded in the mornings. The rooms are compact but well-equipped and clean. The front desk staff are very welcoming. Overall, a good stay. Recommended."
Hotel Schlosskrone ★★★★
"The room was small, the bathroom was surprisingly small and had neither an exhaust fan nor a trash can. There was construction scaffolding outside the room. There was mold in the bathroom, and the clothes rack was covered in dust. There was a fly in the room after cleaning. The air conditioner was loud, and there were flies near the food in the breakfast area..."

Das König Ludwig Inspiration Spa
"Great room. Amazing amenities."
Aktiv Hotel Schweiger
"Great location, absolutely good accomodation. Easy rooms, very good cleaning, restaurant is actually fantastic. Smart, kind and family-like personnel, precise and efficient. Quiet location and not far from the centre of Fussen; therefore you can experience relax-ation together with the city life. Many things to see and more to do! A good choice for a family-week holiday rest & go."
Hotel Das Rübezahl Romantic Hideaway & Boutique Spa
"Our stay here was wonderful. The staff was very kind and informative, the room was clean with a comfortable bed and a great view of the castles. I loved the balcony with the sauna and the jet tub in the bathroom. The restaurant had great food with a decent selection. Hotel is just a short distance from main attractions and hiking trails. I would highly recommended this hotel to anyone staying in the area."
Biohotel Eggensberger
"An excellent stay. The hotel is comfortable, the rooms are spacious with good views, the food varied and of good quality and the staff very friendly and helpful. We did not use the spa facilities as we were too busy exploring the local countryside and surrounding area. The green ethos of the hotel is obvious throughout with very welcome and consistent messaging."
Hotel am Hopfensee
"You can't fault the location of this hotel and from the outside it looks decent. But inside it's a different story with tired / out dated decor and renovation needed in a few areas. We booked a 'panoramic suite' for three nights which was meant to be a highlight of our holiday but it was disappointing and had no air conditioning so was unbearably hot. It definitely wasn't worth nearly 2000 euros for 3 nights even in peak season. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful though. I rarely take time to leave a review but over a month later I still feel ripped off by this hotel."
Hotel Bannwaldsee
"The small balcony offers a lovely view. It's a 10-minute drive to Neuschwanstein Castle, a good location with easy parking. Breakfast wasn't much, but it was alright. It's quiet, but not dark, and most importantly, the pillows were very uncomfortable, and the shower water was inconsistent in temperature. Overall, the value is acceptable, considering it has an indoor swimming pool and sauna that stays open until 10 pm, which is rare in this area."
Hotel Wiedemann
"I really liked it. The room was large, with a balcony and a beautiful view."
Das Weitblick Allgäu
"We didn't book in advance but were able to get a room with view of the alps, which was breathtakingly beautiful. The room was spacious and clean. The only thing missing was air con. With all the solar panels they had on the roof you'd think this wouldn't be too hard to realise. The staff were all friendly and the food in the grill restaurant was nice. It also had a spa and outdoor pool. What stands out for us though is their breakfast. It's simply amazing and has everything you could want. I would happily stay at this hotel again, even though its a little pricey"
Hotel Gasthof Post
"Thanks for everything — sending lots of love to you all! We’ll definitely be popping back again. A million hearts to the wonderful gentleman on the team who seems to speak every language (sadly, his name has completely escaped me!)."
Haflingerhof
"Myself and 4 friends just spent the most wonderful and peaceful few days at the Landhotel Haflingerhof and we really wished we could have stayed longer. It is such a beautiful place in the most stunning location, the scenery is unbelievable. The rooms are clean and comfortable and nicely decorated with everything you need for a very relaxing stay. Breakfast and dinner was tasty and plentiful and the staff were friendly and helpful, especially in trying to speak english to us, as our German is very limited. We loved that they were dressed in traditional Bavarian style dress also. All the animals on the property were wonderful, especially the horses. And the carriage ride through the forest was an amazing experience. It is quite near to the famous Neuschwanstein Castle which is worth seeing and the nearby village of Roßhaupten and town of Füssen are delightful places to visit . We highly recommend this beautiful place and we hope to return again in the future. Vielen dank! 😊"
Hotel Greinwald
"Excellent. We like all in hotel."
Hotel Geiger
"The hotel is just on the lake. We had room 36, so at the 3rd floor with a beautiful terrace. Breakfast included and dogs allowed with an additional €15 per night. nice staff, clean and comfortable hotel. Full relax before you return to Italy. "
Trendic Hotel
"We have had the 4th time room number 7 (family room). A whole nice room, a nice shower. All is clean. Even in and out is also fine. A few points we think it is always very warm inside. There is no airco (although 2 fans but it remains enormously hot). If the rooms had airco it would be perfect!!"
Panorama Allgäu Spa Resort
"My husband and I stayed at Panorama in the first week of April 2025 for the first time, and we were very impressed. + The hotel is really breathtaking -- the junior suite, the lobby, bar, spa area, the pools, and dining area are clean and modern. The public areas look like they came out of a design magazine... clean but also inviting, and well thought-out. There was also a well-equipped yoga room that I could use at certain hours of the day. The staff are always friendly and ready to help. The variety and quality of the food was great, the variety of soft drinks at the dining area as well as spa area (and dried fruits and nuts at the spa area) were nice to have. We were never hungry or thirsty during our stay. + The location is really ideal for a wellness vacation. It's so peaceful and there's nothing much around except a farm, but it's also not far away from sightseeing spots/tourist attractions. Luckily, the weather cleared up during our last two days and we could enjoy the spectacular undisturbed view of the mountains. + We liked that despite the relatively late check-in and relatively early check-out times, we were allowed to enjoy the lunch buffet and use the spa/wellness area before checking in and after checking out. The spa/wellness area (both the textile and textile-free area) are modern, clean, and spacious enough for everyone. There is always enough towels and enough places in the Ruheraum. (We were there during the off-season.) + Personally I like that the owners don't shy away from technology here, which I find really uncommon for German hotels, especially those located in the countryside. For example, having robots that take dirty plates to the kitchen; having a hotel app to independently book spa bookings/birthday surprises, read the Morgenpost, find tips for activities, etc. -- and it's even accessible via the phone browser, so I don't even have to install anything. I rarely see that in Germany, so it's nice to see that the owners are keeping up with the times while adjusting the technology to the local context accordingly. Admittedly I was a little bit suspicious of the very high ratings, but I can confirm that the hotel really does live up to the reviews. Before I went, I read many of the reviews including those with 4 stars and less, and I'm impressed to find that many of the suggestions proposed by past guests were taken seriously. I noticed many things during my stay which reflected/resulted from these suggestions, like the welcome drink and farewell gift, the multiple pools, completely separated textile- and textile-free areas, the availability of the soft drinks until 17:00, to name a few. For the future, I would like to suggest the following points for improvement: - The pillows in the bedroom were too soft for my taste. The receptionist kindly offered me a different pillow which was smaller, but still a little too soft in the end. It would be great to offer more options in the future. The bed was also a bit too ha"
Hotel Helmer
"We were staying in Hohenschwangua close to both castles and was told that Schwangau had plenty of restaurants. All looked pretty full so we decided to park the car and walk around the main street to find a restaurant, most places need reservations or were full, one place recommended Helmer Hotel & Restaurant which was just one street off the main road. We were lucky enough they had room. Service was good and the meal was ok. I went for the croquette and schnitzel but found I could taste the oil in both. There was a self serve salad bar which was very good. The location was ideal and the restaurant was nice and cozy. I believe there was a wedding or event going on in one of their banquet rooms. "
Villa Fantasia Budget Boutique Hotel
"Easy parking and clean rooms, but the castle doesn't have an elevator. The town is fantastic! 👍🏻"
