Hotel Keihan Tenmabashi Ekimae offered a phenomenal experience. Its proximity to Tenmabashi Station, Osaka Castle, and the Osaka Museum of History gives access to a wealth of entertainment and food. The hotel itself had friendly staff that seemed to try to assist in English if ever someone did not seem fluent in Japanese and the self-check-in kiosks at the front also supported four languages: Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese. The room itself was phenomenal, being one of the most spacious I have seen in Japan. What impressed me most, however, had to be the washroom. It was not only incredibly clean, but also the most spacious I have seen to date in Japan. The room also came with a complementary carton mineral water which I thought was quite nice for quality of life. The television is also well equipped information and entertainment and even lets one share their phone screen onto the television. There is also a convenient panel next to the bed that has various functions from controlling the air conditioning and lighting to notifying the staff whether one wants their room cleaned or not. The breakfast they offer, served buffet-style was comprised of various offerings reflecting Japanese, Chinese, and ”Western” culture. While the offerings were satisfactory, I also felt that they may have spread themselves to thin with the variety of the offerings and thus the quality of the individual items suffered from it. In addition, the meal felt like it only partially captured the spirit of each tradition it drew from and ultimately lead to the overall experience being a confused motley of flavours. Overall, while I only stayed for a single day, this was one of the better hotel experiences I have had in Japan.

Hotel is short distance from Shinsaibashi metro station. Really easy to travel via the midosuji lines. Exit from exit 2 from the metro station (exit 1 is under construction when I was there). Plenty of food options along the street and hotel is also really close to dotonburi. Rooms are clean enough for 2 pax in a room. However for big groups booking multiple rooms, do take note that for moderate twin rooms, there is only 1 room per level. So for my booking of 4 rooms, we were spread out in 4 levels. There were a total 5 washing machines with dryer functions in this hotel. Staff were friendly but they speak limited English. Luggage locker room is self service on level 1. IC card is used to lock and unlock the locks.

Clean, new hotel near the subway station. Complete equipment The employees are very attentive. The price is not expensive at all compared to the quality. Will stay here again if I come to Osaka.

Great place! Located at the end of a shopping street full of food. It’s about 10-15 minutes walk to Osaka or Osaka umeda station which is pretty convenient. A lot of shops and malls around those stations too!
This apartment is quite spacious and clean. However there was a double and single bed which is more than enough for the two of us. Felt like the single bed could have been replaced by a sofa bed to chill on and have more space for luggage. The washing machine is great and easy to use too. Overall clean and cosy apartment to stay in. Would definitely stay here again!

I’ve stayed here more times than I can remember. Just shows how much I like the IC. The hotel continues to deliver on service, cleanliness and location. With the opening of the Grand Green Osaka there are even more shops, restaurants and greenery around the hotel. It’s a big shame though that with the new office and hotels towers having come up, rooms facing the west, which in the past had the best views of the Umeda Sky Building and the Yodo River now has obstructed views.

The room is quite comfortable, bathroom is big.
Room is equipped with washing machine and microwave which it’s quite handy. Free amenities besides receptionist desk
I stayed 4 nights, No room cleaning and bedding unless you request it at reception desk. But can request for changing towel everyday. Breakfast options are more to western style. Not much choices but still is delicious

Room is very small , very basic room, clean. Value for the price paid. There is a water dispenser at the lobby which is a plus . There are no facial products being provided unlike other Japanese hotels I have stayed . Lots of food options around , 10 mins walk to Osaka station .

The hotel is so nice and clean. I booked a room for one person in a reasonable price. Even though the bathroom is small, it wasn’t a problem for me. I still love it anyways. The room is not big but stayable. The bed and blanket is so comfy. to be honest, I love it so much that I don’t want to leave this place. I love the fact that the hotel is quite near Sakaisuji-Hommachi station. Alternatively, I could also walk to Namba for only half an hour. Plus I’m really in love with the big supermarket near the hotel. The staffs are also nice and could be able to speak English. Overall, I would totally recommend this place to other people and I would totally stay here again if I have a chance to go back to Osaka!

Self-check-in, the B&B will send the check-in information to your email. Shinsaibashi is next to the house, so it is very convenient. The small kitchen inside is also sufficient, and breakfast can basically be solved; you can also fry a small steak, which can be bought at AEON supermarket. Take the subway Shinsaibashi exit 2, then walk to the Crysta underground mall passage and go to the north exit 7 to take the elevator up, and then walk for another 3-4 minutes to arrive.

The place is very well maintained and clean. Above average for a budget hotel. The distance to osaka station is well within walking distance, even with luggages. Surrounded by many eateries. You will be spoilt for eating choices

GGuest UserThis is my second time staying during my trip. The staff are as helpful as always!
This time I had breakfast (a good mix of western and local) and was able to secure a room upgrade for a reasonable offer. Genuinely super impressed with this chain of hotels!
They are also super nice at allowing you to leave luggage for later collection.

CChrisAnThe location is really good with access to a lot of restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, etc. The staff was really friendly and answered any questions or requests we had. I was also surprised at how thorough and spotless the room cleaning service was! The building was a bit noisy at the time because of the construction around us, but I would definitely recommend this place for traveling!

RrobofficialWhat an exceptional hotel! The value for money is outstanding, especially given its location and the high quality of the rooms. Every aspect of this place exceeds even the already high Japanese standards. A nice touch was the incredibly comfortable pyjamas provided. Highly recommended!

DDingchenGreat location, just 10 minutes walk from Osaka Umeda Station, with convenient stores and many restaurants within 5 minutes of walk. The room is a bit small but has everything we needed. Overall great experience and service!

JJacquelineThe receptionist was kind enough to allow me early check in. The room was compact and provides everything I need. It was generally quiet except for loud guests in the hallway, pounding and vibrations from neighboring rooms so sound proofing could be improved. Breakfast was typical Japanese fare and variety of breads were an option for light eaters.

ММихаил ХавронинThe room size is very small. We booked a triple room with an area of 25 meters stated on the website. The actual size of the room, including the toilet and bathroom, is less than 20 meters. There is no space for suitcases. The three of us felt very cramped. The photos on the website look elongated and visually increase the size of the room. Which is a deception. The toilet is located as if in a closet, with zero insulation. Those in the room can hear everything that happens in the toilet. To get out of it, you need to spread your legs, because when you open the door, it is pressed tightly against the toilet. The breakfast at the hotel is quite meager, there are a lot of people and the buffet area is small. Because of this, there is a constant crush. It is problematic to find a free table. Also, breakfast time is limited to 9.30, so by the time it ends, a queue forms at the entrance. I am completely disappointed with the hotel.

DDiratGot room on 2nd floor
all good except so many dust.
1 flaw that made me almost gave this 2 stars is there were 3 drops of pee on toilet without cleaning when we first enter the toilet. I have to clean it myself with tissue and alcohol, since I need to use it right then and can't wait for room service.
Location is great, room is bigger than others in the same rate. Breakfast is good but not great with 2 Onigiri, miso soup, bread, yogurt.
I might consider to come back again.

GGuest UserI stayed here because there was a shop I wanted to visit near Nakatsu Station the next day.
Because it's Livemax I felt safe, the room was clean, and it was quiet at night.
Although it's pretty much along the station, the walk from the station to the hotel is quiet and a little dark.
However, I didn't feel unsafe.
I'm very grateful to be able to stay at this price, and it's a hotel I'd like to stay at again.
