Osaka Apartments

Hotel Keihan Tenmabashi Ekimae offered a phenomenal experience. Its proximity to Tenmabashi Station, Osaka Castle, and the Osaka Museum of History gives access to a wealth of entertainment and food. The hotel itself had friendly staff that seemed to try to assist in English if ever someone did not seem fluent in Japanese and the self-check-in kiosks at the front also supported four languages: Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese. The room itself was phenomenal, being one of the most spacious I have seen in Japan. What impressed me most, however, had to be the washroom. It was not only incredibly clean, but also the most spacious I have seen to date in Japan. The room also came with a complementary carton mineral water which I thought was quite nice for quality of life. The television is also well equipped information and entertainment and even lets one share their phone screen onto the television. There is also a convenient panel next to the bed that has various functions from controlling the air conditioning and lighting to notifying the staff whether one wants their room cleaned or not. The breakfast they offer, served buffet-style was comprised of various offerings reflecting Japanese, Chinese, and ”Western” culture. While the offerings were satisfactory, I also felt that they may have spread themselves to thin with the variety of the offerings and thus the quality of the individual items suffered from it. In addition, the meal felt like it only partially captured the spirit of each tradition it drew from and ultimately lead to the overall experience being a confused motley of flavours. Overall, while I only stayed for a single day, this was one of the better hotel experiences I have had in Japan.

Hotel is short distance from Shinsaibashi metro station. Really easy to travel via the midosuji lines. Exit from exit 2 from the metro station (exit 1 is under construction when I was there). Plenty of food options along the street and hotel is also really close to dotonburi. Rooms are clean enough for 2 pax in a room. However for big groups booking multiple rooms, do take note that for moderate twin rooms, there is only 1 room per level. So for my booking of 4 rooms, we were spread out in 4 levels. There were a total 5 washing machines with dryer functions in this hotel. Staff were friendly but they speak limited English. Luggage locker room is self service on level 1. IC card is used to lock and unlock the locks.

Facilities: microwave oven/refrigerator/washing machine (with washing powder)/pots and pans/chopsticks, spoons and forks/knife and cutting board; Hygiene: My daughter likes to walk barefoot on the carpet, and her socks are also clean. Overall, it is cleaner than my home; Environment: The location is also very good. It takes 7-8 minutes to walk to Shin-Imamiya and 10 minutes to walk to the zoo (we are with the children); Service: Although the whole process was through email exchanges, communication was barrier-free, and check-in was also convenient and safe; It was a very correct choice to choose you this time. I brought my parents and children with me, and I could cook and fry, and there was also detergent. I felt so much belonging.

Location was good - cross one road and can reach the shopping street. Was assigned to the room on the highest floor and the view was good!! The hotel is clean. Just a downside that the hotel is dark (dark theme) so there might be areas where it will be dark and abit hard to pack/find items. Overall, will come back here again if I plan to travel to Osaka

We got a great deal with Trip and stayed on the Club floor for 2 nights. The hotel entrance was a bit hard to find when you are walking through the mall. Checked in at the Club floor and it was very efficient. Room was very spacious and very clean. Club floor experience was excellent with breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails. We had particularly good experience with the afternoon cocktails as they made lots of different ones for us that was not the standard menu.

The location is great, only few minutes walk to Ebisucho train station. The hotal surrounded by many convenience store, supermarket and restaurants. And it is very close to Tsutenkaku Tower and Shinsekai Market. The room is very clean and comfortable, the kitchen is great !

Because I came to Osaka from Kyoto So the arrival time is earlier than the check-in time So we need to deal with the problem of luggage storage first. The speed of customer service replying to messages is super fast, amazing and efficient👍🏻👍🏻 This time I stayed in a triple room (only for two people). The room was very big. Spreading two 29-inch suitcases is no problem There is also a small cloakroom, which is convenient for hanging your coat when going out. There is a function in the bathroom that I think is the most surprising thing in the whole trip. The bathroom air conditioner has a ”clothes drying” function! ! Ability to hang laundry in the bathroom Turn on the air conditioner (can be set for up to 8 hours) and it turns into a large dryer! ! ! The clothes I washed at night were all dry after I slept! ! And the month I travel is December! ! It’s really difficult to dry clothes in the cold winter, but I really love this function❤️❤️❤️❤️ Stayed for three nights and did laundry for three days! It’s really a plus for people who like clean clothes👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Advantages -Distance (Location is good enough to see on foot when sightseeing in Dotonbori and Namba area, but it wasn't noisy and the surrounding area was clean, so it was okay. Convenience stores, supermarkets, and markets are also close by on a straight, flat surface, which is a big advantage) - Spaciousness (Japanese accommodations are generally very narrow, so it was nice that it was larger than a regular hotel and had all the cooking utensils inside. Tableware, pots, microwaves, gas ranges, etc., and my friend who went with me also said it was spacious, making it one of the best accommodations I've stayed in Japan so far. I liked it the most because it had a bathtub in the bathroom.) -Washing machine on the 1st floor (it's inconvenient because they don't provide multiple towels, but the other advantages make up for it. Also, I had to wash my clothes anyway, so it was nice to have a washing machine on the 1st floor. However, there's no dryer, so that's a shame...you can use it on the veranda. There is space, but there are no clothespins and there is a risk of it flying away) - Overall, it was a satisfactory accommodation. All my friends who accompanied me said they liked it. disadvantage - I felt the bed was a little humid. ㅠㅠ The bedding is a bit thin. It was a little difficult because it felt wet. Other than that, it seemed to be unfriendly since it is a hostel where trash disposal and other details are managed in detail. - There is also a vacuum cleaner, but the soundproofing doesn't seem to be very good. I wish I had more tools to clean it. Since we do not provide a separate cleaning service, it would be nice if, in addition to the vacuum cleaner, something like a broom or a broom were provided when staying for more than 3 days... and a laundry basket too! Other than that, I didn't feel anything major! The accommodation was like a cross between a well-managed Airbnb and a hotel.

Although this does not look big in the photo, it is already a big room in Japan. The sanitation is also very clean, and the socks are not black when they walk barefoot for three nights. A small shower room is fully empty, easy to use and light, and the shower faucet is flushed to the door and there is no water overflowing. I feel the design and workmanship of Japanese space utilization. Basic toiletries are available. No one came to clean the door in the middle, and you can use a vacuum cleaner to suck the floor. In addition, garbage disposal does not need garbage classification. It is closer to Nihonbashi Station, walk for three to five minutes, and it is a little farther from JR Namba or Nanhai Namba. There are always ten minutes. Overall praise.

Absurd policy whereby guests are absolutely not permitted to check in until 3:00 p.m. onwards, which means a lobby crowded with impatient people. At the stroke of 3:00 p.m. there is a massive rush to check in with long cues. Why not at least register guests as and when they arrive and complete the registration for malities first? And if rooms are ready before 3:00 p.m. why not let our guests get comfortable and settled, instead of being so rigid and inflexible? Isn't caring for your paying customers a priority???? I was first assigned room 1602 which I later found out was right beside the lift's, and from where I could hear lifts going up and down all the time and by 11:00 p.m. as I could not sleep due to the noise, I had to repeatedly insist on a room change. Took four visits from a receptionist over the course of 40 minutes just to achieve this simple task. He was extremely reluctant to let me change rooms at first but only relented when I insisted that I would not pay for the room if I could not sleep in peace. The following day my keys did not work, and when I asked why, the reception staff said that they assumed that I would want to change rooms again, even though I had already told the receptionist the night before that, I would not be bothered changing rooms again. Poor communication among staff, and at the very least, I ought to have been informed when I first checked in that the room was prone to lift noise and been given a choice. Excellent location right above Shinsaibashi subway station, and in the busiest shopping and dining precinct of Osaka. The hotel has absolutely no recreational facilities such as a gymnasium or swimming pool, although the property is well maintained and clean, although the mattress in my room was sagging, probably due to age. BEWARE of rooms within 20 metres of the lifts - do not accept them under any circumstances, unless you are an extremely heavy sleeper!
