Hotel Kansai Reviews

The double room was perfect for me and my friend. The room may seem a bit small but it has everything we need. The bathroom was also very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We didn't know they use different outlets in Japan so we didn't have any adaptors or cables to charge our phones. But we were able to borrow a few chargers from the hotel. I'm very grateful for that. I think the location is also perfect. You can go everywhere in Osaka conveniently because the Osaka/Umeda station is very nearby. All in all, it was a pleasant stay.

The hotel is great! The room is small, but it's well thought out. Everything is available: good breakfast, laundry room, a few vending machines are inside and a big combini is just around the corner, cleaning as necessary. The staff is helpful, and the hotel is close to the metro station.

Really good hotel, has free coffee machine, try the matcha coffee. Close to restaurants and train station. Can do your washing using facilities and the room was really good, has tv with YouTube.

The staff were very polite and helpful as they always are in Japan, the bathroom and bed linen were impeccable, the breakfast was as gas any other hotel. My big complaint is that the hotel needs to be complète refurbished. It has a run down appearance with stains on walls and carpeting and damaged wallpaper. This is no réflection on the hotel staff, it's the owners who apparently haven't bothered to invest in the place.

Hotel Kansai is definitely a hotel that deserves more praises. It is located just 10min walk from Higashi Umeda station. Though the room was small, it was well equipped. Guests can self help to yukata, combs, razors, additional bathing items and also coffee & cold fruity water at the lobby. The washing machine and dryer worked well and charges were affordable. Though most of the front desk hotel staff weren’t fully conversational in English, they were very polite, patient and tried their utmost effort to assist. Given the friendly room rates, Hotel Kansai provides very wide range and sumptuous breakfast. I stayed for two consecutive nights and the breakfast menu changed but remained as awesome. Best value for money hotel !

The food was very taste and the room in a good quality it might hard to communicate if you don’t have a good Japan communication skills but all over very thing look fantastic a good experience

Location good, hotel elevators a bit confusing

Very nice hotel with friendly staff and it is in a great location close to attractions and the stations. Love the matcha latte they had!

The conditions of Hotel Kansai (in comparison with a typical 1-star hotel) are considered above average standards! Good for solo-travellers; most of the patrons I saw are local Japanese. There is even a nature (forest scent) room spray!

From osaka station walk about 19 min , a bit confusing , but Busy area to stay lots of food and shopping area. Nice matcha latte , washing machine is 200 yen , but check out if you need to keep luggage 500 yen per piece 😥which note of hotel doing that . Hotel Got 2 new buildings which is confy and clean

Pros: great food selection (photos 1-9) and egg is free for consumption as many as you want, drink counter (photo 12) with excellent matcha latte available from 1400-2400hr, lots of usb charging point in the room (3-4 of them), free luggage deposit service pre-check in on check-in day Neutral: decent room size (11sqm, double bed) with 3 hangers. One small table and chair in the room. Toilet is a bit small but functional, with a small little bath tub. Microwave available for free use on site on ground floor. Washer and dryer available at ground floor too, pay per use. Cons: Staff could barely speak English, they don’t even try using translation apps or call out a staff who can speak English (photo 10) that they sometimes have on duty. No free luggage deposit service after check out (charged at 500 yen a piece and only told to you when you ask for it, no sign boards). Only one lift per block (11 floors), and lift is very very slow. Check out at 10am, 1000 yen per hour you’re late, strictly no complimentary late check out.

Room are not clean .

Best stay under affordable price and very near to osaka station….

Our 2nd time here and we will book again on our next tour.
