We stayed at Albergo Diffuso Mannois and absolutely loved it. Instead of a regular hotel room, we chose the apartment with a kitchen, living room, and bedrooms—perfect for working remotely and feeling at home. The breakfast is about an 8-minute walk from the apartment, but we didn’t mind. The breakfast area itself is beautiful and traditional, like stepping into an Italian home. Sitting under a tree that forms a natural roof over the patio while enjoying breakfast felt truly special. The beach access is excellent, with a private area for hotel guests, great amenities, and good food and drinks available right there. Staff were friendly throughout our stay. Dinner at the rooftop restaurant was spectacular—the view over Orosei at golden hour as the sun set behind the mountains was unforgettable. Everything glowed in purple light, and the terrace, filled with plants and traditional Italian style, felt organic and authentic. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended if you want a mix of comfort, tradition, and stunning views.

Staying at Albergo Diffuso Mannois felt like being part of Orosei itself. The apartment we had was more like a small house—spacious, with a kitchen and living room—which gave us the freedom to settle in and work remote comfortably. Walking to breakfast each morning (about 8 minutes) actually became a highlight. The setting is so charming—an old Italian town with all its characteristics. The breakfast area with a patio shaded by a huge tree feels intimate, relaxed, and very local. The hotel’s private beach was another favorite. Clean, well-organized, free Wi-Fi with good food and drinks, it made spending the day by the sea effortless. The rooftop restaurant is the crown jewel. As the sun set behind the mountains, the whole town glowed in soft purple light. The terrace, full of plants and rustic details, was the perfect stage for excellent food and warm service. If you’re looking for a place that blends authenticity, comfort, and a real sense of place, this is it.

This hotel is an absolute disgrace, and I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. From the second we arrived, it was clear the place is run with zero thought for guests. The property is chopped up across five different sites, yet they only have one buggy for transport. We were dumped at a car park like luggage, dragged to reception once, and that was it. After that, we were left to fend for ourselves. The receptionist was appallingly rude — unhelpful, dismissive, and arrogant enough to interrupt our check-in for someone else. She didn’t even bother giving us basic information. Instead, we were left sweating in the heat, hauling our own bags, while she simply walked away. The level of incompetence was staggering. The room itself was an insult. Cramped, suffocating, and clearly hidden from their website because no sane guest would ever book it if they saw it in advance. The so-called “amenities” were laughable: dirty glasses, no complimentary water, and barely enough toilet paper to last a single night. We literally had to hoard some just to force the cleaner to leave more. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all — so much for a “premium” stay at an eye-watering price. Their restaurant? A joke. Hugely overpriced, pathetic portions, and you’re paying for the view, not the food. Breakfast was the only thing worth mentioning, and even then, don’t dare ask for room service — it doesn’t exist. We asked for ice and it took nearly an hour to arrive. How a “4-star hotel” can’t deliver ice in less than an hour is beyond embarrassing. Mid-stay, they had the audacity to ask for feedback. We told them how dreadful everything was. What did they do? Absolutely nothing. At checkout, we were greeted once again by the same rude receptionist, who couldn’t even be bothered to fake politeness or ask if we’d enjoyed our stay. Spoiler: we hadn’t. Yes, the beach is nice — but if the only thing a hotel has going for it is the view, you may as well pitch a tent outside and save yourself the money. At least then you won’t be insulted by dirty glasses, absent service, and staff who behave like they’re doing you a favour just by existing. In short: this place is a scam masquerading as a 4-star hotel. Don’t fall for it. Save yourself the money, stress, and disappointment. This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had — and that’s saying something.

Our stay at this hotel was a major letdown, and I would certainly not recommend it to others. Upon arrival, we discovered that the hotel is spread across five separate sites, and only one buggy was available to transport guests. We were picked up from a car park located about a 15-minute walk from the main reception ( the only time we were transported in the buggy). The check-in experience was particularly poor: the receptionist was unhelpful and far from welcoming. She interrupted our check-in to serve another guest, which led to key information, like the Wi-Fi password being missed. We also had to load and unload our own luggage from the buggy in the blazing heat, whilst the receptionist just walked off. The room itself was VERY small, cramped, and disappointing and unsurprisingly wasn’t featured on their website. Basic amenities were lacking- there was no complimentary bottled water, and we were expected to pay for it. The water glasses provided were dirty, and there was very limited toilet paper. We actually had to hide some just to ensure the cleaner would leave more toilet roll the following day. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all in our room. Not what you’d expect when you are paying a vast amount of money per night. We were encouraged to book the on-site restaurant (I’ve written a separate review for that), but it was overpriced with small portions - you’re essentially paying for the view, not the food or service. Breakfast was the only highlight of our stay. That said, don’t expect any room service - it doesn’t exist, apparently due to their having just one buggy. We requested ice and it took nearly 50 minutes to arrive…. The hotel requested feedback halfway through our stay, but nothing was done to address the issues we raised. We had expressed how utterly disappointed and upset by our stay we were. Upon checkout, we were met with the same receptionist from day one - still unfriendly and not even courteous enough to ask if we had enjoyed our stay. While the beach was lovely, the overall experience fell well below expectations for a 4-star hotel. Basics like soap in the public restrooms and a pizza larger than a single slice shouldn’t be too much to ask…. In short: wildly disappointing, don’t recommend staying.

What an amazing little gem! We’ve only stayed here for one night, but absolutely loved our stay. From picking us up to having the best view from our room and amazing breakfast in the magical backyard - it’s been special! The service was outstanding and the hostesses so friendly. Please never change! Big recommendation!

What a stunning experience! The staff were amazing! Helpful and very friendly and the hotel itself was an absolute historical Italian dream!!! The main hotel is where the included breakfast is served in their breathtaking courtyard. Depending on your booking the rooms are situated in other parts of the old town within short walking distance, which for me personally was part of the charm. DEFINITELY worth a visit and don’t make the same mistake we did and only stay for a night ;) Thank you for the experience!!!

We had a very enjoyable stay. The old buildings have lots of character and charm, yet are comfortable and equipped with modern amenities. The outdoor breakfast area is lovely. We appreciated the central location, within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. Our adult children's room was in a different building, some 5 minutes away by foot. If I had it to do over, I would book both rooms in the same building. A few things to note: The free car park is about a 10 minute walk away from the main building. We booked our reservation a few months in advance, and when we tried to contact the hotel to make a change, there was no response for weeks (I guess they are closed during the off season?). We were excited about using the hotel's bikes to ride to the beach, but we were told they were not available until peak season.

This is a small boutique hotel right in the heart of the town. There are loads of restaurants all in a 10 min walk. Most of the rooms are scattered across the town in small groups. On had to go to the main building for breakfast, about a 5 min walk from our room. The room had air con ,a big bathroom and a good shower. All the staff were very helpful in recommending places to see.etc.
