"The cleaning staff kindly helped me, so everything was fine, but I was troubled because the front desk was unmanned both when I arrived and when I left. I think it was partly because I arrived late, but the cleaning staff told me to try calling this number, so I did, but no one answered. I felt that it would be difficult to stay here with this kind of system. The room itself was very clean, but it was hard to sleep without air conditioning in this heat. There was a fan, but it was covered in dust. I wish there had been slippers."

"This property is directly across the road from the central Orleans train station and a 10 minute walk from the old city centre. In short, its location for a tourist is excellent. The hotel is good 3 to 4 star standard - clean, comfortable, good bed and bathroom, and reasonably priced. Rooms are small (by our Australian standards, at least) and there is a shortage of clothes storage and hanging space. Apart from that, we found this Ibis to be very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, both in range of foods and drinks offered and price. The dining room was spacious and comfortable. All members of staff with whom we had contact were excellent. That included the cleaner whose English was as non-existent as our French. Through some charades and sign language, we were able to understand each other and she proved her side of the understanding by doing just what we requested, when we requested it. Full marks, both for dealing with linguistically-challenged tourists and for her subsequent service. (So, Ibis, if you're watching - 5th floor on 3-5 Jan - your room service lady deserves a raise:) She was the best exemplar for your brand we came across.) Overall, we were very satisfied with our three night stay. This Ibis was very convenient, clean and comfortable and provided very good service at an excellent price."

"I came here to watch the Tour de France. The receptionist speaks English. It's convenient because most tourist attractions are within walking distance. The room was clean and had a small kitchen. There was also tableware and a kettle. There was no air conditioning, but there was a refrigerator and a fan, so it was not uncomfortable to sleep even in the summer. There were towels, body soap, and welcome water. The lock was a little hard to open, and it was not an auto-lock, so you had to lock it yourself. The only thing I was disappointed about was that there was no hair dryer. I was disappointed when I realized there was no hair dryer after taking a bath..."

"Why is this 3 star hotel badly reviewed? Yes you read it right, this is a 3 star and not a 4 star hotel. There are many misrepresentations, read on if you have time, if not just skip this hotel, there are plenty more in the vicinity to choose from. Upon our arrival, which was 1.5 hr after check in time, we were told the carpark is full and we had to park our car in an open car park about 10 min walk away. There is no concierge, and there was only 1 staff manning the tiny check in counter. He informed that the swimming pool wasn’t working for the day but we found out that the pool is moldy and probably has not been working since June as gathered from the reviews. The gym is pathetic to say the least, it has only a single cycling machine and it doesn’t seem to work either. We booked a superior room but it looks exactly like the cheaper classic room. There is no coffee machine as shown in the picture, there is no extra pillows, no hair conditioner, no in room slippers. The latter is only offered to executive room guests. The phone in the room is either not working or there is no one answering phone. The hotel also required a deposit of €500 for a night stay of €160 - an abusive practice! In short, just avoid this hotel at all costs!"

"We were very well received by a young woman who was very friendly, but the room was a bit dated and the cleanliness was not very good. There was a smell of vacuum cleaner dust in our room...and in this heat we opened our window but it was impossible to sleep with the surrounding noise of the tram and people shouting until very late in the evening. The breakfast was passable. I would not recommend this hotel either for its cleanliness, and even less for its location."

"Surprise stay Yes, this accommodation really surprised us. The room and bathroom was larger as expected and spotless clean. Bed comfortably and we had a good night sleep. Breaky included….Yes. All selfservice with fresh baguette and croissants More then we have expected since we normally never order breakfast The care taker was also very friendly and helpful Finally got a road side car park spot infront of the door for 5 euro till 9:00am next morning All in all we would highly recommend this place and the price was reasonable good for what is delivered"

"Pretty awful experience tbh. Only stayed one night, thankfully. Decor incredibly dated (woodchip wallpaper - seriously?) and just hideous. The toilet was separate from the bathroom and was like being in a cell with a flickering light. The safe swallowed our valuables and we couldn’t open it, neither could the receptionist. Fortunately, early next morning the night manager was able to do it. Room contained an exercise bike, bench and weights - not sure why - surely they would be better in a gym? These items took up so much room that there was no space for an armchair and the bed was squeezed up against the wall only allowing about 6 inches to get in the bed. Shame because the room was a decent size. Dinner was just execrable but there’s nothing much else in the area."

"Fantastic. Lovely room, comfy bed. Gracious and warm host. We were surprised by how pretty and well designed the room was. The host is a professional level interior designer and cook. The breakfast was a delight with 3 kinds of fresh bread, cheese, granola, eggs, kiwi-fruit smoothie, homemade custard, waffles, fruit, pour-over coffee, local honey off the comb….you get the idea."
