Pls note we went to this Hotel for a long weekend gateway with another couple. The check in process was easy and friendly. On our way to our rooms we noticed the corridors could have used some vacuuming, not a great first impression. Our room smelled musty and could do either an update, there was no safe in the room so we carried our valuables with us. The bathroom towels looked really uninviting in a greyish hue that once was white. The hard mini container shower gel was impossible to get out. The grounds and outdoor facilities were great, we used the pool and the Kayak on the lake. We also had a wedding party next door that kept us up till the wee hours, not very considerate at all.

Bel endroit pour passer du temps en couple. Chambre propre et grande avec foyer.
Le point qui est décevant est les spas intérieur et extérieur. Les spas avaient beaucoup de saletés et l’eau très opaque.

Un bel hôtel proposant kayak, paddle, piscine, vélo,... Gratuitement.
Les chambres sont très bien.
Par contre la propreté dans les espaces communs est à revoir

We came to this hotel as part of a tour. In its day this would have been a beautiful place to stay. Sadly that is not the case now. Our room was dirty, with fluff and hair on the floor. We asked them to please clean the floor, but they did just the minimum and missed things. The hallways were also dirty with dirt and pieces of paper not vacuumed. There are no safety bars in the bathtub in many of the rooms, you have to ask for them when you book. If you go for breakfast, go early because they are slow to replenish the food. We had a chicken breast that was so tough they should have provided steak knives. If I hadn't been part of a tour I would have sent it back. The carpet in the dining room is badly stained. This hotel needs a lot of TLC and major cleaning. The view from outside and the lobby look impressive, but this is misleading. Once you get past the lobby you see another side of this hotel.

The bed was not very comfortable, the bar in the hotel took so long to serve us. It was a really busy weekend and the hotel looked dirty, lots of trash in halls. The outside balcony was in bad shape and needed paint. The shower didn’t have a separate shower head and the bath was not in good shape.

Weekend in Orford
Weekend getaway. Hotel is in a very pretty location The hotel has a lot to offer in the way of golf and water activities, like kayaking and paddle boards , which are free. Couple of negative things are that the bar is closed on Sunday , for some strange reason. The air conditioning unit could really use an upgrade. It sounds a lot like a jet engine. The eco friendliness old be better , considering all the toiletries come in very small plastic containers.
