Quill Gardens Boutique Hotel

"Large house with a bed and breakfast feel to it and large pretty basic rooms with average comfort overall. Bed comfortable, room seating not so much. Quiet. Nice pool and views from pool/deck/eating area. Pretty remote so need a car otherwise its a $15 cab ride one way to town etc which adds up. Dinner was very good with good wine selection, both reasonably priced. Was not aware there was no breakfast or dinner served on a Saturday (and maybe Sunday?) but was offered a $15 breakfast coupon to a restaurant in town but that was a $15 cab ride each way! How about a free ride?? Hmmnn....Would stay in town if not renting a car, possibly stay if are renting car but still pricey for what it is in our opinion."

"This hotel is marketed in Oranjestad! but it is not in Aruba! Be very careful with Trip advisor and this hotel marketing! We lost out on the $$ and had to rebook with the actual Talk of the Town in Oranjestad, Aruba"

Whale Tails Hotel

"Whale Tails is the vacation location on St. Eustatius (Statia). We stayed all 10 days. Everyone of them enjoyable. Jolanda and Theo are great caretakers and wonderful people. Rooms are very well kept and reflects on the care of management. Generously hospitable and graciously helpful in showing us the grounds and island features. Whale Tails on Statia is the place to stay. With all the activities on the grounds and very beautiful grounds they are. The view is worth the stay in itself! We will be back for sure!!! "What a fantstic stay at the Golden Rock Resort.The property is spacious,well maintained and offers great mix of relaxation and activities. On arrival you are welcome with Rum cocktail and white scented face towels. The facility really stands out.The pools are perfect for cooling off and relaxing and the gym is well equipped for keeping up workouts while away. It has a padel court which was a plus for sport lovers. Getting around the property is easy and fun thanks to the littke train that transport guests around a thoughtful touch especially on warmer days. To add cherry on the cake,staff are very responsive and warm that gives a nice feeling.Victor from the front desk is a special staff.He is too good and had right attitude for his work. Bobbles was open so we had a chance have dinner down by the beach.What a nice feeling."
