Sleep Inn Orange Beach

Jennifer Hadden the night shift clerk is such a sweetheart! She talked to me for hours! Now I not only gained a wonderful trip but also an amazing friend! The rooms are clean and spacious the location is close to everything and the free breakfast omelette is amazing! Make sure you get up late at night or really early so you can talk to her!

We paid extra for oceanfront and enjoyed the view. Our room was clean but the mattress needs replaced. I did not sleep well- kept twisting to resist the dip in bed. And it felt like there was polyester bedding. I often woke up hot even with the AC on (which was a little noisy when it cycled.) and the pillows were oddly small and square! Due to room layout- the TV wasn’t centered in the bed. I couldn’t have my knees bent or I blocked hubby’s view. The shower looked like a time capsule but it was roomy enough. Wish there were more towel bars, they change them every 3 days. That was fine since they gave enough. I just didn’t like leaving wet towels on the floor. Breakfast was good with lots of choices and an omelet bar, and lots of carbs! Snowcones are a nice touch on a hot day! I was a bit disappointed that the pool deck was not swept daily. There were leaves, sand and spills. There were about 30 chaise lounges, only 5 umbrellas, and a few side tables. The sand was mounded by the foot wash- so it didn’t do much good the use it. Had to walk through the sand on the ramp after rinsing off! Outdoor maintenance could have been better. The beach was a short walk. You can rent chairs and umbrellas if you don’t bring your own. We could see the sunrise and set! There was often a large Herron on the beach near the fishermen. It was fun to watch kids on the beach at night with flashlights looking for crabs. But basically- the hotel was directly on the beach beyond the dunes, room was clean and the employe were friendly. Still a good choice.

The Sleep Inn on the Beach is wonderful!!! From the location, the views, the friendly staff, the cleanliness, the free breakfast (including omelets to order), the pool, free snowcones from 12-8, to literally being steps from the beach!! We slept with our balcony door open listening to the waves every night. The hotel was full but we never heard a sound from other guests. We were in room 318 and it was perfectly located in the corner. There is a Walmart and Rouses Market right across the road along with restaurants and souvenir shops which was very convenient!! We could walk for miles in either direction on the beach and we greeted with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets daily!! I can not say enough wonderful things about our stay at Sleep Inn on the Beach!! We will absolutely be back!!!

Just agreeing with previous positive reviews. Great place to stay. Areas clean. Views great. Pool nice. Snow cones in lobby in afternoon. Omelet chef making delicious omelets made to order for breakfast. Just note beds are double size and rooms are smaller but adequate for 2 adults and 2 children.

This hotel is right on the beach. Some rooms are ocean view; many are not. The breakfast was incredible: The usual DIY waffles, bagels, yogurt PLUS a cooked to order omelette bar! Clean, small pool with large lounging deck and direct beach access. Staff is great. Furniture in the room has some dings but shower works great. Separate sink area in the room, with toilet/shower room. Free parking on site; free sno-cones in the afternoon. Small microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge in room. Great value for a few days.
