"Really poor experience. In all my travel - same for all my family members - we've never heard of a cancelation request being denied when it was due to a death in the family. However a director at Getaways, working on behalf of Olympic Village Inn, just denied my request for any reasonable credit/cancelation/partial credit of my five night stay. This is due to my dad being admitted to the ER with 2-4 days to live (failed kidneys, no dialysis). I offered documentation. I booked through *********** and was told the booking was nonrefundable. Understood, and in the past I've only ever heard of nonrefundable bookings being changed or refunded in extreme cases. I've never heard of a bereavement request being outright denied with no attempt at human decency. Please don't give people and businesses like this your hard-earned money."
