this pub/hotel is situated in a beautiful spot near Delph; there are easy to reach walks amidst the beautiful surrounding hills. Oldham is close and a bus stop is just few minutes away from the hotel. There is a light breakfast at no extra cost included in the room price.

We had our wedding here in April 2024. We felt nothing but welcome from the very first time we went to view the wedding room. When we spoke with Louise about what we wanted for our food and all the things. We weren't typical with our choices, but nothing was too much trouble. We had a disabled guest to our wedding who was supported with his needs. The cottage we stayed in the night before the wedding was beautiful too. A lot of our guests stayed the night of the wedding too and were supported from booking and onwards. I have been here for food on seperate occasions and each time was brilliant food was lovely. Hoping to come here much more often now that I can drive 🙌🏻

Booked last minute as had a sudden urge to walk from Manchester to the Pennines in an attempt to get fit. This was the cheapest deal I could find for 2 adults and 2 separate rooms. We were just after somewhere to get our heads down for the night and have a bite to eat with drinks Arrived at the hotel 8 hours and several pints later and met with friendly staff. Booked in, in less than a minute, and taken to our rooms. Rooms spot on, very clean, warm, brewing tackle, nice big bed and en suite shower/toilet. Cracking views of lovely Lancashire spoilt by a bit of Yorkshire thrown in. Went in hotel restaurant for evening meal. £30 for 2 x 10oz rib eye steaks, chips, onion rings, peppercorn sauce. Bargain. Washed down with a couple more pints. Fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Nice suprise the next morning as you get a light breakfast included with your booking, which we were not aware of. Helped myself to cereal and toast with a few cups of coffee. Bus stop 1 minute walk away, which took us back towards home for £2. Definitely go again

Once again we had a lovely lunch here. The food was excellent and the staff very professional and friendly. They have an early bird offer which is great value at 1 course £10 or 2 course for £14. Very good value and great portion sizes.We will definitely visit again soon

Please be aware if booking a wedding. Happy to take your deposit but do not provide Terms and Conditions to you. When a problem arrises ignore you for weeks and then very rude and unprofessional management. When asked for terms and conditions refuse to send. Very Poor service by management.

We stayed 2 nights in Pule Hill (one of the Sheppard huts) it's was stunning! Super cozy and warm with the most amazing views. It's self contained with all the facilities you could need. We had an evening meal in the main building which was very nice (I recommend the baked goats cheese starter👌🏼) and a tasty cooked breakfast each morning. Knowing the hotel and owners and watching how much work and love they have put into it over the past 7 years, you can clearly see the hotel just keeps getting better year on year!

Room could do with a little update, but excellent value for money. Beds really comfy, as we're the pillows and im really fussy! Really nice quiet room, didn't hear any noise.
