this pub/hotel is situated in a beautiful spot near Delph; there are easy to reach walks amidst the beautiful surrounding hills. Oldham is close and a bus stop is just few minutes away from the hotel. There is a light breakfast at no extra cost included in the room price.

This is a great hotel. Lovely setting and location. Lots of parking. Clean and modern interiors. Tasteful interior design. Nice clean rooms and comfy bed. The service was fantastic. The staff were warm friendly and extremely helpful. The chef offered to do earlier breakfast for us . The breakfast was delicious and good portion. Nothing was a problem for the team. I would stay here again and the surrounding areas views and countryside is lovely too . Thanks to all the team for making our stay just perfect!

In response to the previous comment, our taxi to return to the hotel, some three miles away did not collect us until midnight, arriving back approximately 12:15, at no time was there any excessive noise made , furthermore , as suggested by yourself, you heard noise for 45 minutes before your complaint at 12:30 ,as we were not in the hotel this clearly demonstrates your initial complaint should not have been about us. Unfortunately the night porter did not want to accept our denial, even though we had been in the hotel for only 15 minutes, arriving back at 12:15, taxi phone records prove this. Having been falsely accused of making noise and a night porter who simply wouldn’t consider that we had only just returned to the hotel , I am appalled how your complaint was managed. As I discussed with management before deciding to leave at 6am today, we received a full apology and refund. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel, based upon our experience. Furthermore more , as a registered disabled person, there are no accessible rooms or designated parking.

Mainly writing a review in the response to the one above. I was in the room below the couple who left a review about being told to make less noise. The couple were stamping around their room for 45 mins at 12:30am, at which point I complained about the noise. After the very helpful night porter went to ask them to be a little bit quieter they then (as they admitted) deliberately stomped around the room in 'revenge' for my complaint. When the night porter went back they shouted and swore at him, waking up everyone else in the hotel. Just wanted to give the other side of the story, as this one star review is very unfair as the problem was caused by this inconsiderate couple! Huge thanks to the hotel for handling it as they did!

We had the festive afternoon tea, and it was one of the nicest afternoon tea’s we have had, it was all delicious, the apple crumble was served at a perfect temperature, it was beautiful, We spoke to Stacey to enquire about having our wedding at Grains Bar and she was lovely, looked after us and couldn’t do enough. Samantha on the bar was also lovely, she was happy to take the time to talk to us, shown an interest, asked our opinions on the afternoon tea, and just made us feel so welcome, we will defiantly be visiting again for a Sunday roast. Thank up so much.
