Stage Run by the Sea

We stayed at the Stage Run by the Sea and from start to finish the service was exceptional! Liza accommodated our requests and went above and beyond to make our trip wonderful. The rooms were super clean, the pool area was nestled in the center of the motel rooms and easy to access! We will be back!

Place was better than expected. On site manager was so nice and accommodating! Nice place to stay for reasonable pricing. Close to downtown Ogunquit. Everything is within walking distance. Definitely will book again! Loved the heated pool!

My one night stay at the Stage Run By The Sea was lacking in even the bare basics, I’m sorry to say, as only 2 of the 5 light switches worked (the bathroom light and a light standing in the corner of the room). Good luck trying to do any grooming at the sink area, as there was no light switch that I could find. I had to shave by the light coming from the nearby bathroom. I was getting zero phone reception, and couldn’t find a WiFi password anywhere, so I had to call the front desk to get that. Lastly, there was no shampoo in either the bathroom or in packages anywhere, so I had to make do with a “shampoo” of soap and water. There were no food options for breakfast so I went out to pick up something. By the time I ate and was back in the room, it was about 10:15 am. I called to find out if check-out was at 11 or 12, and they said, “Ten.” Haven’t been to many places with check-out that early. Had to rush around and was able to check out at 10:30, which they kindly let me do without penalty. However, due to all the other issues, I don’t think I’ll plan to return.

The beds were firm yet very comfortable—we all slept well, including the kids. The room was generally clean, though the bathtub area could use a more thorough deep clean. That said, the shower had good water pressure and temperature. The pool was a highlight—our kids loved it, and the water temperature was just right. The hotel’s location was also excellent: only a 10-minute walk to the main part of town and about 15 minutes to the main beach. The only downside was the presence of ants and flies in the room. Despite that, we really enjoyed our stay overall.

The manager is phenomenal! Always pleasant and so accommodating. Any ask was handled quickly. I can’t say enough about her. The property is clean and well maintained. Price was so reasonable. Pool is heated. Location is great. Can easily walk to all the hot spots and great restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Finally went to Ogunquit Playhouse and needed a place to spend the night. STAGE RUN BY THE SEA was a quiet, clean motel with a large room and ample parking. It is close to the downtown area. The motel's management was friendly and informative, and I felt like a valued customer. If we need to spend the night again in this area, I would gladly return to this well-kept property.
