I stayed there with my parents. The futon were so good. Big and soft. The room also good. Location is perfect. Lawson is near by. Breakfast is everything. Bathroom amenity is the best. ** tattoos person not allow to use public onsen but they do provided private onsen (with charge) that need the book in advance.

No shuttle service after 8 pm, but free shuttle taxi service bfe that. Big, difficult to locate the hotsprings at the beginning. Very beautiful view of the town n river from the lobby. Breakfast is fantastic but time is short. Closed a bit too early ie 9am. some area in the tatami room has no heating. Making u easy to get a cold.

The onsen quality in Gero district is really superior. Skin feels very silky. The floor structure can feel confusing but we got used to it very quickly. The hotel offers good onsen and kaiseiki experience at economical price. Lots of local Japanese so it felt very authentic. The only downsides are 1. lack of entertainment options eg local performance, art & craft for young kids 2. Very crowded breakfast time. They could arrange different breakfast halls to divert the crowd or give timeslot tickets in advance.

Enjoying 3 onsen during my stay. All amenities were good Keiseki dinner and breakfast are excellent pick up and return to train station were provided. No need to book because they will match the train schedule.

Great location, hardware is a bit worn out, room is big but considering the modern travelling the power outlets are a bit far from sleeping area, Japanese hot spring is very good, staffs are excellent

The hotel room was big and they provide free shuttle from train station to hotel and vice versa. The receptionist staff were friendly and can communicate in English. They booked me a private onsen, which was very refreshing.

Excellent! Very satisfied for this onsen hotel!! Definitely recommend this accommodation to friends and family. Everything is over expectation: services, facilities, room, public bath (onsen), food, and all. One drawback would be language barrier between some staff, but they really trying to communicate with us which is impressive. Also, there is a free shuttle bus service between train station and hotel during daytime, very convenient. Tips for me is to book this hotel on weekdays, it is half price cheaper than weekends or holidays.

The facilities are recently renovated and well maintained. There are multiple onsens and they are all very clean. The hotel is close to the station with shuttle bus service during certain hours. The food and catering service are also good.

The hotel has 3 kinds of onsen. We took opportunity to try all onsen. This was fun! The dinner and breakfast buffet also taste good.

Location is good, but if your luggage is big it's a .bit trouble Breakfast is so so.

Cost-effective accommodation in Gero Onsen This time I chose to stay at Gero Onsen Ogawaya. As soon as I entered, it exuded a strong Japanese antique style. The triple room was so big and the view was so comfortable. About the dinner, there are fresh sashimi, exquisite snacks, and Hida Wagyu beef that melts in your mouth. It will be an unforgettable experience. After a delicious dinner, it’s so cool to go to the hot springs! After waking up the next morning, go to Gassho Village and listen to the sound of wind chimes, which is especially peaceful.

Location is excellent, close to the main streets and restaurants. The hot spring baths are good too, particularly the outdoor pools.

Like the reserved onsen in the hotel. Great location and nice condition. Highly recommended!
