We have stayed at several other Tru properties, so we are familiar with the minimal offerings. This property is in a great location if you are visiting Clemson, we could see the stadium from our room! The area is very friendly, clean, and close to restaurants and shopping. The only negative was the front desk staff. The check in was drab at best, a staff member had her child and was away from the desk, and finally - another person was on her phone (I felt as though I interrupted her scrolling). Breakfast is appreciated, but don't expect anything over the basics.

My daughter stayed with my in-laws for an overnight before staring summer camp for a week. We had stayed at another property nearby the weekend before and it wasn’t the best stay. Tru was much cleaner, newer and an all around excellent experience.

The toilet was stopped up when we arrived, awkwardly the bathroom door would not close because it did not clear the floor, and AC does not have an 'on' feature to keep the fan running - and block out the noise. I do not intend to use this hotel again.

This is an update to a previous review. We’re Hilton Honors members and this is not the first Hilton owned hotel we’ve stayed at in this area, although it was our first stay at this particular Tru. Our initial review revolved around the condition of the room, and was not favorable. However, I'm updating the review based on my recent conversations with the General Manager, Andrew Valentine. Following my review, I reached out to Mr. Valentine and explained the issues we experienced. Mr. Valentine did not make excuses, accepted complete responsibility, and assured us our experience was an anomaly and any future experiences we allow the hotel to provide for us will reflect the positivity we've experienced at previous Hilton stays (including Tru By Hilton's in other cities). Through numerous conversations, including a face-to-face this past weekend when we picked up our student, Mr. Valentine has demonstrated an extraordinary level of professionalism and compassion. We're looking forward to our future bookings at Tru By Hilton Seneca Clemson.

Nice room but the shower had two conditioners and no shampoo. Coffee was weak and maybe the dispensers need a good cleaning, too. I liked the filtered water station where I filled my bottles. Good information about the area provided. Friendly associates.

Our room was ready for us a few hours earlier than scheduled, however the reason became apparent late on the first night upon our return. Our room was never cleaned following the previous occupants. The shower walls had hairs sticking to them in various spots. The floor was a little gritty. At least the bed was made and we had (presumably) clean towels. We’re Hilton Honors members and this is not the first Hilton owned hotel we’ve stayed at in this area, although it is our first stay at this particular Tru. Given the options in the area it will probably be the only visit.

Very clean, great location, secure. Hannah, receptionist, was very efficient, helpful, and friendly.
Clean rooms. Only wish there was a pool. Close to Clemson’s campus. Will stay again
