From start to finish, my experience at Hermosa Cove in Jamaica was nothing short of amazing. The property is absolutely stunning, with a serene atmosphere that feels like your own private paradise. Every detail—from the lush landscaping to the inviting décor—shows just how much care goes into making guests feel welcome. The highlight of my visit was the impeccable service. Our server, David, went above and beyond to make the experience memorable. He was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and had such a warm, genuine demeanor. You could tell he takes pride in ensuring guests enjoy every moment. Another topper was Rodain who personally assisted when I couldn't find parking. The Chef was awesome...The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, perfectly complementing the beautiful setting. Hermosa Cove truly delivered a 10/10 experience, and I can’t recommend it enough. Special thanks to David and Rodain for making it even more special! I’ll definitely be returning.

After a six year break from going to Jamaica we came back to Hermosa Cove with friends to show them this beautiful spot. From arrival to departure it felt like coming home. Clent, the manager, Elvis and the whole team made us feel like welcome family and all the old time staff remembered our previous visits. The restaurant with a new Chef Foster was as excellent as we had remembered under Chef Conroy , although a rotating menu to keep things interesting might be something to consider. The changes and additions of artworks and feature on the grounds continue to show the owner's creativity and artistic flair. I can't wait to see the crocodile sculpture installed that they were working on.

My husband and I honeymooned in Jamaica in 2000 and decided to return this year to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We researched several of the larger resorts but chose Hermosa Cove over all of them and I’m so happy that we did! Everything about Hermosa Cove was amazing…the people, the place and the entire experience! Shaneil made the reservation process seamless and was always quick to respond to any question. Then, as soon as we stepped off the plane we experienced their unparalleled VIP service which continued throughout our entire stay. The facility is beautiful and truly one of a kind and all the staff were friendly and attentive. Even one of the owners visited with us and took time to congratulate us on our special occasion. (If you go, say hi to Auggie for us!) Again, I just can’t say enough about how wonderful this place and the people running it were! I didn’t want to leave and hope to visit again soon!

Amazing people. Clean friendly environment. They treat you like royalty here. Everyone is so kind. I would recommend this to couples looking for a private getaway. Food is great. Massages are wonderful. drinks are amazing! The staff make this amazing.

A Hidden Gem in Bustling Ocho Rios Hermosa Cove is a serene sanctuary in the middle of Ocho Rios’ lively and often chaotic surroundings. The property is quiet, beautifully maintained, and offers a level of peace and care that is hard to find elsewhere on the island. From the lush gardens to the private beach and the charming villas, every detail is thoughtfully curated. The staff is kind and discreet, making the atmosphere feel genuinely personal without being intrusive. If we ever return to Jamaica for a beach holiday, we won’t think twice — it will definitely be Hermosa Cove again. A true retreat for anyone seeking beauty, calm, and authentic Caribbean hospitality.

My husband and I spent seven nights in the Calabash House at Hermosa Cove. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff who were super helpful and happy to assist in any way. Shaneil, in Guest Services, was fantastic. Our driver, Rashan, was so nice (and hilarious!) and very accommodating. The Calabash House villa has a nice view from its second story wrap-around porch. We spent most evenings with a cocktail, gazing out at the beautiful Caribbean Sea. The villa was very clean and comfortable and daily maid service is included. The resorts grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained. There are multiple paths in and around the resort, all lush with tropical plantings and many spots to sit by the beach and take in the views. The three-tiered pool with running waterfall is amazing, also with great views of the ocean. We were thrilled to see hummingbirds and parrots every day. A few suggestions for your stay at Hermosa Cove: - Take advantage of the hotel's offer to pre-stock your villa! There are no grocery stores within walking distance of the resort and to hire a driver runs $40 per trip. They'll stock beer, wine, alcohol, juices, lunch meats, bread, snacks, etc., pretty much anything you'd get in a U.S. grocery store. - Bring cash in small denominations for tips! While tipping is not required at the hotel, the service often warrants it. We were able to find an ATM while out with a driver (whom we tipped each trip) but it wasn't easy. Tipping is more expected if you use a guide at Dunns River Falls (definitely go!) or other attractions. You can tip or buy anything with U.S. dollars in Jamaica. (Note that you do not need cash to tip at the resort's restaurants.) - Bring plenty of sunscreen! The HC resort doesn't have a sundries shop and the local grocery store (while quite nice) had only one bottle of zinc-based sunscreen.
