"My friends and I have just returned from a wonderful five day break at Landhotel Salmen near Oberkirch Germany. The staff and owners were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a picturesque village in the wine country and you can enjoy many great walks from the door. The restaurant is modern with a varied menu and the food was delicious. The breakfasts were exceptional. Our rooms were comfortable and quiet and we enjoyed the swimming pool too. I can thoroughly recommend the hotel"

"This is a Gasthaus as you prefer to see them with a friendly, guest-friendly and spacious rooms with perhaps a something dated, country interior. The breakfast buffet is good. In the evening you can take a bottle of beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks from a central refrigerator, the owner knows the guests will write what they have taken. The restaurant area was closed in March. In the neighbouring village, 10 minutes walk away, there are two restaurants. This is a very recommended address."
