"The hotel is set on the outskirts of Oberjoch, beside a ski slope and surrounded by beautiful countryside that is ideal for walking. The bus stop is less than a ten-minute walk away, making it easy to explore farther afield without using the car. Electric vehicle charging is available at the hotel, although we found the charging speed very slow, so it is best not to leave it until the last minute. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We spent five nights in a Holz100 double room, which offered a beautiful view of the Iseler. The room was spacious and clean, although the décor was basic and the furnishings rather minimal. The bathroom was practical and spotless, and the immediate supply of hot water was a welcome touch. We did not entirely get used to the lighting controls: while the concept is interesting, it is not especially intuitive. We therefore appreciated the clear explanation of how everything worked, including the locations of the electrical outlets. The breakfast buffet was generous and delicious. Dinner, however, did not quite meet our expectations. Although the food was perfectly acceptable, we felt it was ordinary for a four-star hotel, and the portions were on the small side (particularly after an active day outdoors). On a positive note, cake and a salad buffet are available between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m."

"The Panorama Hotel Oberjoch is a beautiful, quietly located hotel. The initial contact by phone was not good and rather rude and unfriendly. Thankfully, the tone changed after we made the reservation. The room was nice. However, at that price, I expect different amenities (no bathtub), and the mattress wasn't comfortable either. I wish the reception had informed us about the option of having a minibar delivered to the room. The spa area is nice, but there are too few loungers. The lunch buffet is unfortunately very limited and hardly worth mentioning. The cake buffet is of poor quality. There are no freshly baked cakes, which is very disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. Breakfast is adequate, but nothing more. The bread baskets were frequently empty and were refilled far too late. The fruit selection is also quite good in the early morning, but it is insufficiently replenished (strawberries, for example, are seasonal). The hot chocolate was machine-made and much too sweet and watery. I had completely different expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean, but I find the carpeting in the restaurant area unhygienic. One employee simply swept the breadcrumbs from the table by hand and let them fall on the floor. Astonishing and unacceptable in a hotel that charges such prices. All in all, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this hotel. It's in a good location, but the price-performance ratio isn't right. We won't be coming back."
