The duty manager apologized that day and promised to follow up with me the next day regarding the resolution. I've been waiting for five days now, and I haven't heard anything. It's not that I'm curious about their internal process, but I wanted to see if they would actually keep their word. Unsurprisingly, it was a letdown."

"Before check-in, I was notified by phone that I had been upgraded to a villa suite. However, upon arrival, I found that the view was significantly worse than the standard room on the third floor that I had booked. Also, there was no underfloor heating in the living room, only in the bedroom area. The bedroom and living room were connected without a door, and my two friends who were traveling with me felt very cold (it snowed heavily that day, see video). They even had to bring extra blankets and a heater. It felt like the room upgrade was just to make room for others, as the villa suite was practically empty."

There was a short stretch of dark road from Lulang Town to the entrance of Zhashigang Village that I was afraid to walk. I called the owners, and they came to pick me up in their car. The next morning, I was in a hurry to catch my bus, and the old lady reminded me to eat breakfast before leaving. The guesthouse was exquisitely decorated, clean, hygienic, and equipped with smart technology. They even gave me free tickets to the alpine pasture. It was very quiet at night, and I slept very well. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Lulang. Wishing the owners great success in their business, and may they live a long and peaceful life. Tashi Delek!"
