The service was top quality: staff are friendly and accommodating, food is delicious. We stayed just one night and mostly enjoyed it. It’s worth mentioning the beautiful gardens the hotel has. Our room had a view of the garden and It perfectly contributed to our impression.

Wonderfully relaxing one night stay. Small hotel with walks through adjacent tea plantation. Staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. Enjoyed lunch as arrived. Whilst there was no curry on the set menu they very helpfully provided this option. Best breakfast so far too. The atmosphere is relaxed helped by being at 6800’ ASL which gives a purity to the air. Many thanks for your welcome and hospitality.

Le style colonial anglais à été préservé avec goût. Hôtel de charme très bien entretenu avec une très bonne cuisine variée. Personnel attentionné et toujours très aimable. Pas ou peu d’activités à part un jeu d’échec et un badminton. À prévoir si vous comptez rester plusieurs jours de bons bouquins. Recommande vivement.

We zijn warm ontvangen. Alle personeelsleden zijn super vriendelijk en staan voor ons klaar. Het is een prachtige locatie en zeer fijn voor stellen. Al het eten is naar keuze van menu’s, was super lekker. We hebben ervan genoten. We kregen ook ontbijt mee voor onze wandeling naar het natuur park.

Nuestra estancia en el Oliphant fue perfecta. Esa noche, fuimos los únicos huéspedes. Sandun y Chaminda estuvieron atentos de que todo estuviera bien. Amables y educados, también atentos de la cena y el desayuno ya que yo soy celíaca. Todo el hotel está montado con un exquisito gusto y pasear por los alrededores es una maravilla. La habitación era cálida. Muchas gracias!

Like staying in a fairytale!
This small and charming hotel sits high upon the hill, overlooking a nearby village and the Oliphant Tea Factory. It's a quiet location, with stunning rooms - which is a welcome change if you're staying mostly in guest houses or big resorts. The staff goes out of their way to make sure everything is perfect, and the sounds and smells of nature were great - if you like the sound of birds chirping, this is a place for you. There's one tree with tons of them (they said 1,000 but I couldn't wrap my head around that). It's easy to drive or Tuk Tuk into town, and we got to do some additional walking by the village. Staying at Oliphant has been the accommodation highlight of our trip, and we'd easily pay well over $500 a night for an experience like this in the US.

It was our first time in a boutique hotel, the rooms were very clean, dining was unique experience with set 4 course menu but chef was receptive to dietary restrictions. Can enjoy beautiful view of tea gardens while dining and lounging in a heated pool

It’s a beautifully located property above the town in a village in middle of a tea estate. The garden is beautifully maintained and one can just walk to the tea estate for some amazing view and explore the tea estate around. The staff is very prompt and provides you the best hospitality. The breakfast was delicious, chef makes everything fresh from scratch (especially loved the homemade coconut jam), the Sri Lankan curry was delicious too. Thank you for such great hospitality and would definitely recommend it to others.
