Accoglienza eccezionale, ambiente familiare e cucina deliziosa. La camera assegnata, Frangipane, molto spaziosa e con un ampia terrazza vista mare. Colazione dolce/salata preparata al momento e servita nella zona ristorante che gode di una vista sul mare ed è all’aperto. Durante questa settimana ho organizzato con l’aiuto della struttura delle escursioni e mi sono concesso dei massaggi ad una cifra molto modica in confronto ai prezzi italiani. Nota di merito va alla cucina, menù sempre vario e anche con piatti tipici malgasci.

Abbiamo soggiornato in tre all’Emeraude Lodge e l’esperienza è stata semplicemente meravigliosa. Lo staff è eccezionale: sempre sorridente, disponibile, gentile… ci hanno fatto sentire come in famiglia. Un aspetto davvero comodo: parlano perfettamente italiano, cosa che ha reso tutto più facile e piacevole. Le camere sono enormi, pulitissime e con una vista mare mozzafiato. La nostra disponeva di un terrazzo molto ampio, perfetto per rilassarsi e ammirare il tramonto sull’oceano: un momento magico che ci porteremo nel cuore. Il lodge è immerso in un’atmosfera tranquilla e rilassante, perfetta per staccare davvero la spina. La piscina è bella e curata, ideale per un tuffo rigenerante o semplicemente per godersi la pace. La cucina ci ha davvero sorpresi: ogni giorno venivano proposti piatti locali preparati con cura, ma non mancavano nemmeno opzioni europee per chi desidera qualcosa di più familiare. Anche la pasta era sorprendentemente buona, cosa non scontata all’estero! Un posto dove siamo stati davvero bene, sotto ogni aspetto. Ci siamo sentiti accolti, rilassati e a nostro agio dall’inizio alla fine. Se cercate tranquillità, comfort e ospitalità sincera, questo è il posto giusto.

Beautiful lodge with great service. We loved the kayaks you could take out whenever you wanted. The pool was well-maintained and clean with crystal clear water. We arranged a snorkeling tour with them and everything was coordinated beautifully. It's a 15-20 minute walk to Andilana beach - very safe, passing many other tourist hotels along the way - it was a better beach for hanging out and other food options. We stayed in a stand-alone hut, which was cute and had good mosquito netting, though next time, I'd opt for a room with air conditioning.

Paradise spoilt
Location of the lodge is real highlight. Right on the shoreline with the sea view on one side, three other sides face greenery of surrounding mangroves with water level changes wih tidal cycles. Rooms face the west providing joy of watching sunsets from private balconies.
However, this nature's beauty couldn't translate into a holiday to remember due to reasons of humans making. Basic necessities of modern living such as electricity and water didn't go without interaption one single day during my 7 days stay!! WiFi was a bit better with problems experienced only every second day.
A reasonable visitor prepares themselves for the next destination, but even 3 star hotel anywhere is expected to provide steady, reliable supply of basic tourists needs, which goes without saying.
It looked like you pay averagee world standard price for Madagascar standard quality.

The staff were very friendly and professional, they went out of their way to help me and organise trips to other Islands. Room I have was very comfortable with a/c and a huge terrace with a sofa and 2 chairs overlookincmg the sea. Perfect positioned for spectacular sunsets! The food is good and they were able to provide me with alternatives as the veggie menu, like most in Madagascar, is somewhat limited! The cocktail were delicious. The pool is a good size with a nice sun bed area and overlooks the sea. After a days snorkeling I still went for a swim in the evening! I stayed here for 5 days and will do so again if I ever return to Nosy Be. Thank you so much to all the staff especially Alex who took the time to make sure my day trips were tailored to my mobility needs.
