Amazing historic Inn. Booked the excellent value Sunday night deal for a mini-break away from home. Arrived in the morning and after parking up walked a few miles to the wonderful Tucker's Grave Inn. On arriving back at The George, we checked in and were presented with a complimentary drink before being shown to our lovely room. The whole building is full of history and characterful quirks. We were seated in the cosy front dining room for dinner which was beautifully cooked. Breakfast too was plentiful and of a high standard. Lots of friendly, attentive staff about.

Best Sunday Roast lunch ever in a wonderful atmospheric Tudor Inn. The medium rare beef was cooked to perfection and all our 3 different deserts were top notch. Excellent service all round with the added bonus of Butcombe fine ales and amazing locally sourced food.

Superb room (!) Hospitality was excellent as always. You are always very warmly welcomed from the moment that you arrive. Food was awesome - both of us had the roast chicken Sunday dinner, which was cooked to perfection. I then topped it off with a really lovely creme brulee. We'll be back in January to try out another room, as we have a plan of staying in as many different rooms as we can :D

We had an excellent meal and evening at The George Inn yesterday. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday evening without a reservation and the staff could not have done any more to welcome us and try to accommodate us. A great welcome. Food was excellent and the ambience of the Inn is wonderful. The George Inn dates back to the 14th century and is full of character. So for food, service and ambience it’s a big tick, tick, tick. Highly recommended and we will definitely revisit in the future

We had a delicious lunch at The George in Norton St Phillip. Amazing fish pie for most of us. There was a roaring fire, service was helpful and charming. A fascinating quirky ancient building with overnight rooms. Will definitely be visiting again.

A truly spectacular and uniquely historic inn, tucked away in a beautiful village just a short bus ride or drive from Bath and Frome. Great food. Gorgeous rooms. Wonderful friendly staff. This wasn't our first stay and it won't be our last! Visit if you get the chance - there's nowhere like it.

Lovely warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Fantastic Sunday roast beef lunch with plenty of fresh vegetables. Extra gravy if required. The dessert menu has something for everyone. Would recommend booking as it is very popular. We will be back!3

We have been to this lovely little pub a few times and loved it every time. We went recently for a family meal with about 11 of us including children. The food is great staff are helpful and friendly. Some of us had steak which was amazing. So tasty and cook exactly how we wanted the rest had burgers which was amazing. The garden is really nice in the summer with amazing views. When we went in the summer they had a singer in the garden and it was a really nice relaxing vibe. Would definitely recommend

We visited this stunning pub for Sunday lunch. The building is breathtaking as are the views that greet you as you pull in to the car park. We were met by lovely friendly staff and were soon enjoying delicious drinks and ordering from the delicious Sunday menu. The service from our waiter Josh was excellent from start to finish. Great food, lovely drinks, beautiful atmosphere and setting. We didn’t want to leave! But we will be back and will recommend The George to all our friends and family. Thank you.
