"First impressions matter.... The Lobby was in poor display (in dire need of remodel). The clerk spoke very broken English and was difficult to speak with. It appeared that that the motel is also being used for people living for extended stays. People were hanged out all around the outside walkways and parking lot some sitting in beach chairs. Alcohol and ********* both were being consumed. Went to check the room and was faced with terrible smells....the bathroom light didn't work, the ceiling was water stained and starting to peel. Although it was late we opted to leave and not stay. First we did NOT feel safe and second I would NOT let my dog sleep in the conditions that the room was in. Went back to the clerk and he was understanding and refunded our monies without question."

" Normally I would not pay nearly $400 for a hotel room, but it was convenient to our appointment.  The room was nice, but not clean.  There was a used facial cotton on the floor behind the trash can, a small wad of hair clinging to the wall by the mirror, and crumbs on the carpet by one of the windows.  We paid for breakfast with our room rate and it was ok.  Good variety, but the only thing I would say that made it above average was the variety of fresh fruit.  The coffee was awful.  We had dinner in Saltine and it was good.  "

"Worst hotel experiences of my life. I paid for room 2 months in advance checked in at 5 pm they said room wasn’t ready check back in two hours, came back it still wasnt ready!!! They misplaced my credit card and when we came down at 6 am to check out no front desk no valet for at least 45 mins. Valet couldn’t find out keys then finally we seen our car parked on the street RUNNING since 5 pm the night before. Under a NO Parking sign. I got a fifty dollar ticket!!!!! Emailed valet company and response! On top of the the marriot charged me AGAIN for the room paid months prior!!!! And to get a refund I had to EMAIL assist management. And the worst part is my sister is an accountant for the corporate Host Marriot for years!!!!!!!! Do NOT BOOK HERE!"

The most important thing was that the pillow seemed to have not been changed for a long time, and there was a strong smell of hair oil, and the whole bed was filled with this unpleasant smell. "The staff was nice but hotel was not in good shape. We were coming to this city to see our daughter’s school function. Then the tropical storm hit, and the event was cancelled. I tried to cancel 48 hours in advance but they did not allow. I even asked if we could just get a rain check and use it when the event was ti be rescheduled 4 weeks later. They said no. Like I said though, the staff was very nice."
