It was a nice relaxing break from noisy places. It was a comfortable, homy and welcoming place. Staff were great. Coffee and food can be a little better, but fruit and rice cakes made up for it. Bicycle access was great, and I was able to visit nearby places. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

The hotel is located in a remote place, only Hang Mua is within walking distance. You can take bicycles and go to Trang An Boat tpir. You can walk to restaurants, about 20 minutes. The breakfast is modest, a good selection of fruits. The biggest minus is that the room is poorly cleaned. The floors are dirty, in the bathroom, also dirty. The towels are already quite used. There are ants in the kettle, the kettle is old and rusty. The refrigerator is very loud, it is impossible to sleep at night. In January, the room is cold and dark. A beautiful view from the additional room, in which it is impossible to stay, as there is a very strong draft from the window. The staff is friendly.

We loved staying at ChezCao Ecolodge, right in the middle of the rice fields! We actually happened to be there right in the middle of the rice harvest so they were drying the rice on the roads and burning the fields. It was fascinating to learn about the process for harvesting the rice, although the air was a bit smokey at times. This is a small hotel with only 12 rooms but the staff is friendly and helpful. They do have a pool and a nice breakfast. They offer bikes that you can borrow although we called a Grab when we needed to get to town as it was too hot to ride the bikes that far. We met the owners of the hotel and although they didn't speak English, they were lovely people and we communicated using Google Translate. The hotel staff however mostly spoke English so we didn't have any problems with checking in or asking questions. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a unique experience in a peaceful place.

De tous nos voyages, c’est de loin le meilleur hôtel dans lequel nous ayons séjourné ! Le personnel est au petit soin, ils sont très gentils, accueillants et n’hésitent pas à nous donner de précieux conseils sur la ville. Nous avons vraiment eu l’impression d’avoir séjourné dans un établissement familial. Mention spéciale pour le petit déjeuner qui était incroyablement bon et complet. Des vélos (en libre service) et scooter sont à disposition ce qui est un grand plus pour effectuer des visites plus éloignées. Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement qui a rendu encore plus exceptionnel notre séjour à Ninh Binh.

So beautiful and peaceful Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The place is so lovely and peaceful, beautiful garden with lots if plants and the pool is so nice too. We had a large room in a separate villa, with a view over the rice fields and the mountains, stunning at sunset. It was very clean. They offer ice tea and fruit when you arrive. The hotel has a restaurant (delicious food) and a spa. They lend bikes for free and rent scooters. It's located outside the busy areas so it's very quiet at night. It was perfect.
