Great

Very conveniently located opposite JR Nikko and 3 min walk away from Tobu Nikko stations and the buses for the area. Good-sized traditional room with dated bathroom. We got a rather dingy view of the carpark and buildings at the back (maybe our request of a bright, high floor room with nature view did not get through) and the staff were not able to accommodate our request to change, citing full capacity. A limited western oriented breakfast was included but could have more Japanese, fish and vegetarian options, as well as less stern reminders to make guests feel less intimidated and more welcomed. Our fav feature was the onsen and lounge with free drinks machine. We would stay here again, given a more accommodating atmosphere.

Location is good as close to the JR train station. Room is clean and tidy though facilities are basic and a bit old. There is private bathroom in the room but can use the onsen in the hotel. Staff at reception are nice as usual in Japan. Breakfast is free. Not many varieties but taste is fine.

Location and hospitality from the staff are the stand outs for this hotel. 5 min walk from Tobu-Nikko station and just opposite JR Nikko station. Lots of dining options around so not to worry but the nearest convenience store is actually not that near. For my stay, it came with free breakfast every day though I only had it for one day because I wanted to try out other breakfast/ coffee places in Nikko. There’s onsen in the hotel, both indoor and outdoor so this is also a plus point. However, the hotel itself is a bit tired and desperately needs a renovation.

Probably the most accessible hotel in the whole of Nikko and provides public onsen and free breakfast. Rooms are also large (for Japan’s standard) and comfortable.

Stayed additional nights because of comfortable room, good location, eateries nearby and wonderful helpful staff. However room internet connection was very frustrating on many occasions throughout our stay

Let's talk about the advantages first. The biggest advantage of the hotel is its good location. It is very close to the station. There is a bus stop outside the door and there are buses to any scenic spot. The room area is definitely larger than that in the city. Although the breakfast is simple, it is still very good. The biggest disadvantage is that it is old and old. The price of nearly one thousand is not very cheap in the suburbs, but there are relatively few hotels near Nikko Station, and the others are even more broken. The good ones have to go to the mountains, which is not very convenient for tourists who cannot drive themselves. The room is not equipped with disposable slippers, and the slippers are very dirty. Then the faucet in the bathroom is very old-fashioned, and it is not easy to adjust the hot and cold water. The bathtub looks unclean, and there are a lot of old dirt on it. The most complaining thing is the quilt. The quilt core should not be changed. Only an unfixed quilt cover is given to sleep in it. I didn't sleep well all night because the quilt cover would fall out as soon as I moved. I didn't want to touch the quilt core directly because I felt it was unclean. And I felt itchy when I slept in my pajamas at night. I thought there were bugs or something. Then it rained yesterday in the mountains and the temperature dropped to only 8 degrees, and the perceived temperature was even lower. The heating and cooling of the central air-conditioning in the room can only be controlled by the hotel. After being frozen outside all day and wanting to go back and turn on the heater, the hotel didn't turn it on, there was only cold air.
