Overall, a good hostel, but there is room for improvement.
Pros:
Great location: 5 minutes walk to the sea, enough local cafes nearby to grab a bite, there are local stalls where you can buy water and snacks.
Quite comfortable beds. They provide towels. Blankets are washed after each guest (which is rare for Vietnam)!
Nice girl-administrator at the reception, will tell you where to change currency or grab a bite to eat.
Each floor has 3 showers and 3 toilets (mixed, but there are locks on the doors)
The hostel itself looks stylish and interesting.
Cons:
I have never seen the floors washed either in the room or in the common areas and showers. In my room, a guest from China threw used napkins and other garbage under her bed (apparently, it is customary for them to make a mess around), all this lay there even after she left, no one cleaned it.
There were also problems with refilling toilet paper and liquid soap. The paper itself was stored in large packages in the stairwell area on the 1st floor, but it was never in the toilets. I had to take the paper myself and take it to the stall. The same with soap: a basket with cleaning products stood under the sinks, but the dispenser was always empty. In the end, I couldn’t stand it and refilled it myself.
The rooms themselves are very small, it’s already cramped for two people to stand between the beds.
The lamp above my bed didn’t work, and a torn-out socket was hanging by wires under the common table.
During my stay at the hostel, there were 3 rainy days, due to which there was constant dripping from the roof, and the common passages were damp.
They also don’t have boilers for heating water in the shower. The water is heated by the sun, and, accordingly, if there is no sun and it’s raining, then there will be no hot water in the shower either. I had to wash myself with cold water for 2 evenings, some of the guests paid extra money and went to the SPA in neighboring hotels. Also, the male staff of the hostel behaves, to put it mildly, unpleasantly: constantly and loudly yelling, spitting right into the pond to the fish, etc. And all this happens in the common area on the first floor. Several evenings it was so that because of their shouts it was simply impossible to communicate with other visitors of the hostel downstairs, you just do not hear them :(
