A friend and I shared the experience of an African safari. And it was literally out of this world! Our first camp was Sable Alley and it did not disappoint. We saw many animals and with Kam as our guide we got very close to zebras, giraffes, antelopes and we saw prides of lions including baby lion cubs and leopards in trees. And then the elephants! And he manoeuvred over large bodies of water without any problem. The deluxe tents were spacious and lovely and very comfortable. The food was superb. We went swimming in the pool every day to cool off in the afternoon. Overall, we were both very pleased with our experience at Sable Alley. It was excellent!

Sable Alley exceeded all of our expectations! The accommodations were spacious and comfortable, and they made sure our room was always stocked with filtered water. The fans and air conditioning were especially nice midday when it got a bit hot. The location was also wonderful - very immersive being so close to the watering hole, hearing hippos and elephants right outside at night was amazing! Not to mention the lions that strolled through during dinner our first night :) Every meal we had was delicious, kudos to chef KT! Everyone on staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, we especially loved Kenny! By far the highlight was the game drives. Our guide, Filters, was exceptional. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience - one of our morning game drives went until 2pm because he didn't want us to miss out!! Of course wildlife sightings are a bit luck based, but we truly believe Filters' expertise is what allowed us to have so many incredible encounters. He expertly tracked a pack of wild dogs, and he identified that a lioness we saw was contact calling her cubs to lead them to a kill, which was incredible to witness. Highly recommend stopping at Sable Alley as a part of your Okavango Delta safari!

Sable Alley was excellent. We stayed at 3 camps on our trip to Botswana and Sable Alley had great staff, the best food and, most importantly, the most animals. Our guide, Filters, was superb and an amazing tracker- just like out of the movies. Overall an excellent experience and I highly recomend it.

A very mixed experience indeed. The game drives, communal areas and tented rooms are very good. The camp setting is wonderful. Lunch and dinner are dismal: hot meals arrive lukewarm; food combinations are amateurish; ingredient quality is often corner-shop standard; main course vegetables an afterthought; They ran out of sparkling wine for 3 days, and the table wine range is poor and badly kept. Table service is haphazard. Certainly not worth the money. The parent company, 'Natural Selection' has been in place since 2016 and needs to re-focus on the quality of the dining experience. The place was far from full and I can't see it surviving once European and US tour agents have a year's worth of feedback to digest.

Glamping with super wildlife experiences. Lions and leopards drink outside the elevated secure structure on which the spacious tent is mounted. You are escorted to and from tent after dark.

Le lodge est absolument magnifique, réalisé avec de beaux matériaux, décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Il offre plein d endroits où s installer dans un fauteuil ou sur un transat pour profiter de la vue extraordinaire sur une belle étendue d eau qui attire les hippo, impalas, girafes... La chambre est également très belle. En août, c'est l hiver donc il y fait un peu frais la nuit, mais le personnel rajoute des couvertures à la couette et le matin tôt pour se préparer pour le safari mais c'est un petit inconvénient. Dans la journée on peut se doucher à l'extérieur aussi. Le personnel est charmant et la cuisine très bonne. Le chef Bono se présente à chaque table pour les repas pour expliquer ce qu'il a cuisiné. On a le choix entre 2 plats principaux, pas de choix pour entrée, souvent une très bonne soupe , et le dessert. A part au petit déjeuner où on est à la même table que le game driver et les personnes dans la même voiture , on dejeune avec sa famille. Molls notre game driver était très sympathique et intéressant. C'est vraiment un lodge à recommander !

Nach dem Mchenja Camp im South Luangwa NP (Sambia) und dem Shinde Camp (10 Flugminuten entfernt) war Sable Alley eine weitere großartige Erfahrung auf meiner Afrikareise. Das gesamte Camp ist sehr neu und hochwertig. Der große im afrikanischen Stil eingerichtete offene Loungebereich mit Ausblick auf die Lagune ist äußerst gelungen. Hier hält man sich gerne auf und genießt einen Apero an der Bar, tauscht Safarierlebnisse mit anderen Gästen aus oder schaut einfach nur dem Treiben der Hippos zu. Das angebotene Essen war geschmacklich hervorragend und wurde optisch sehr ansprechend serviert. Schön auch der überdachte Liegebereich vor dem kleinen (gekühlten) Pool mit Aussicht auf die Lagune. Mein "Haus" war bestens eingerichtet und ausgestattet. Separate Toilette. Sogar Wasser mit Eiswürfeln stand in Thermoskannen bereit. 5-Sterne Niveau. Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter war außergewöhnlich. Die "Chefin" des Camps sorgte dafür, dass man sich vom ersten Moment an wohl fühlte. WLAN funktionierte perfekt. In der schönen Landschaft rund um das Camp haben wir viele Tiere gesehen. Auch große Ansammlungen. Unser sehr guter Guide Mo hat nach längerer Suche sogar Leopardenbabies für uns gefunden. Das Safarifahrzeug hatte ausreichende Ablageflächen für Kamera, Brille, Fernglas usw. Positiv war auch, dass vor dem Abflug morgens noch eine Pirschfahrt möglich war. Beim Abheben in Richtung Maun konnte ich dann auf 3 außergewöhnliche und spannende Tage in diesem für mich nahezu perfekten Camp zurückblicken.
