Absolutely delicious and great value. Two course weekday lunch of terrine then duck confit with slab of sublime duck liver. Great quality and impressed my chef brother who can be picky! Will definitely return.

Our meal was exceptionally tasty with generous portion sizes. Even pub staples like fish & chips were elevated with great homemade sauces & triple cooked skin on fries. Interesting & varied menu. Friendly service and the new team deserves to do well. Thanks!

Lovely, friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble. The place was nice and clean. Food was amazing - presented beautifully - everything was cooked to perfection. starters, main and dessert all hit the spot. I would definitely go again!

Well what a fantastic Sunday lunch. We thought we'd visit this quirky pub as recommended by a friend who advised us to try the food as there's a new owner and chef and we were not disappointed. The meat was so succulent and the gravy and cauliflower cheese was out of this world. We have tried many Sunday roasts and this has got to be the winner. With the cosy log fire and very friendly staff we didn't want to leave. Dogs are welcome with water and treats available. Well done Live & let live ,we will be visiting again very soon.

I usually avoid a pub Sunday roast. I have never been enamoured with the offerings of even the most gastro of pubs. And preserve me from having to endure a ‘carvery’. However, on recommendation from a friend who knows her onions, today four of us thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday roast here. Superb roast beef, delicious and cooked to perfection, served with joy on hot plates. I couldn’t fault it. This pub is doing very good things for the area and as a result is popular. Today I walked 4 miles each way to enjoy this lunch, a very welcome plate of delicious food.
