Returned for another short break with my family. Staff are really helpful and polite, gardens and outdoor seating area is beautiful! Rooms are tastefully done and comfortable. The food is wonderful and cater well for gluten free. You have the choice of eating in the pub part or restaurant over looking the grounds. Only fault was two of our families rooms weren’t properly cleaned each day. All in all though a great stay and we all look forward to returning next year.

We had a reunion at lunchtime, which was fine, if not exciting. But it was nice collection of quiches with salad. All jolly nice. The hotel and it's setting is absolutely superb, a gem within Dartmoor. The grounds are very well maintained, so it feels a little like being a guest in a rather nice house.

Stopped for a night recently, and wish it was longer as it was a fabulous stay. It is in a great location on Dartmoor and it’s great to have the animals grazing in front of the fabulous hotel grounds. Our room was well appointed and very luxurious with a view of the moors and we had a peaceful nights sleep and a very tasty breakfast. The staff really do make it a special place to stay and are a credit to the hotel and it is a special place.

Outstanding hotel, impeccable service , we really enjoyed out two night stay with our retriever . The hotel is in a great location for walking and exploring so many locations . The room was well appointed, exceptionally clean and well equipped . The gardens are beautiful . The staff are without exception, brilliant .
