I really like the hotel's add-ons given that it is a budget hotel. Has a gym, some free drinks (but give up the coffee, it's awful), ice, free breakfast. I hope the hotel and change it). The room is tidy and the public spaces too. I didn't get lucky enough to get a room with a view of the statue of liberty. But I can't ask for more for the price!

On March 12, I raised an objection to the accommodation fee when checking in. The local payment was contracted to be 10.5 USD$, but when I showed the contract, the front desk staff said it should be 45 USD$ and that he didn't know and that I should contact the contracted company. It was not easy to contact the contracted company locally, so I paid 45 USD$ + 100 USD$ as a deposit and checked out on March 15 without any problems. I thought that in the US, it is customary to return the deposit after about 10 days when you check out (this was my third trip to the US). When I checked after returning to Korea, I found out that the deposit had not been refunded, so on March 26, 2025, at 11:30 AM, I notified the contracted company of this fact (scanned copy of the receipt attached) and they said they would give me a call back 3 hours in advance, but I haven't heard anything, so I called again at 11:30 AM on March 28, and they said that a local lawyer was processing it and promised to let me know the result by the 30th and are currently waiting for a response. This should definitely be returned and it should be made clear that this is a breach of contract. The staff and manager were friendly, the breakfast was very good and they even let us store our luggage for free. However, if they did not perform as per the contract, they should definitely perform as per the contract.
