Halloween heaven! Loved this place! So easy to navigate from the airport on the metro. Easy check in and nice dorm rooms. Downstairs kitchen and social area was enormous, lacked a bit of atmosphere but that’s the post covid population I guess?! Lots of local food markets/ grocers to pick up things for dinner or a packed lunch. Hudson food market was my saviour. Lively deli items, pantry items, liquor and a fantastic coffee in the morning when I was heading out for a full day!

I was not given a blanket or towel on my first night. I slept without blanket on a very cold night. I complained to the receptionist but he was totally rude and nonchalant. It totally messed up my entire stay.

Hostel was clean and located in a nice location. Front desk was friendly. I felt very safe and the bathroom was clean.

Thank you for this time. This place is good. If i ever come to NYC again, I will use here. But if i have one thing, I'm worried about The draft from the window in the room was cold.

Overall was great to stay just for 1-2 days. Location is the best, very close to subway. However, in some bulk bed don’t have a plug so you can’t charge your phone, especially top bunk.

They don't allow you to stay in the hostel until check-in time, so it would be best to arrive on time if possible. You can get to Manhattan quickly by taking the subway.

There is no problem with cleanliness. However, the facilities in the bedrooms and the service provided by the staff are minimal, so you need to get used to it to stay comfortably. However, it is reasonable compared to the local market, so I think it is ideal for travelers who are price-conscious but don't want to get a bad experience. However, there are no curtains or partitions on the beds, and you can't even hang your towel on the top bunk. The beds are pipe beds, so even if you turn over a little, the vibrations will be transmitted to the person below (and vice versa), so I think you need talent and experience to get a good night's sleep. The mattress is firm and the size is acceptable. I am 185 cm tall, but I was able to stretch my legs out and sleep. Newer and more comfortable-looking dormitories in New York are much more expensive than this one, so I am grateful that they offered an option at this price (10,000 yen per night in Japanese yen) with acceptable simplicity.
