Coconut Palms Beach Resort II a Ramada by Wyndham

My family and I have been coming to this resort for years. It’s usually a very pleasant vacation at an economical price. It’s not an over the top nice place, but it’s affordable. And worth the price that you’re paying. Until now. Now they are charging their guests $10 a day to park their cars. As if the $1300 for 4 nights isn’t enough. Personally, I would rather that they upped the price of the room $10 a night instead of springing a parking fee on their guest once they arrive in town as most people come from out of state. To add to that, this time the room is less than well maintained and the refrigerator is missing a shelf and it has a broken shelf. There’s no cabinet doors under the sink, only a piece of cardboard screwed to the front of it that’s not even cut straight. And the bathroom smells like somebody used it just before we walked in the place. Honestly, the parking fees are just another rip off and another fee that we have never had to pay in the years of us staying here in a sub standard beach resort that is coconut palms too.

Rented two one bedroom condos in the month of August. The checkin process was quick. No issues. The rooms were clean. I asked for adjoining rooms with an ocean view. We were given both. We did have to move the dining table from one room to the other and combine them as they were very small. Plenty of parking. The ocean view was spectacular. All the employees we encountered were very friendly. The hotel is close to many restaurants. Publix is with a mile or two. Flagler Street is within walking distance on the beach. Disney or St. Augustine, both a little over an hour away. Hopefully we'll be able to return when the Tiki bar is refurbished. Great additions to the large pools. Suggestion: Free coffee in the lobby. Great stay. Thank you.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room could use a little touch up but was adequate for our stay. Kitchen was more than expected and had everything we needed. Overall, we will go again.

Service persons were rude and and not helpful. They hung up on me twice and they would not budge when asked if we could check out later.

We were going to Daytona for a festival for a few days and stayed at this property since it was about 20 minutes away and a less expensive option for a surrounding area. The room was clean but the air conditioner maybe needs to be replaced. It never went below 72 even after running all day. The body wash in the shower was empty and on our last day there we had no water (thankfully we were just checking out). I told the staff downstairs and was told they had to shut it off for an emergency. I also didn't realize this spot is more of a time share and less of a hotel. There are no vending maches, ice, or a spot in the lobby to buy water/drinks/snacks. The spot of the hotel was great though. The pool area was nice and clean with plenty of chairs. It was also so nice to just be able to walk out the gate and be right on the beach. The hotel was also very close to plenty of restaurants and stores where you could stock your room up with waters. If you are looking for a cheaper place to stay by the beach and don't need amenities this would be a decent spot.

The 2-bedroom apartment was comfortable, clean, & attractive. However, the elevator across the hall was EXTREMELY loud (sounded like it was straining terribly to go up & down) and disrupted our sleep during the entire weekend. We asked to be moved after the first night, but were turned down. The office said that they would call an elevator technician, but that never happened. In addition, the pool next to the building was closed with caution tape & the attached gate leading to the beach was locked. Parking was across the busy street, which was inconvenient.
