Having to complete some work and needing a quiet space to work I nipped in to have a quick bite to eat and work while I ate. I had a lovely gammon steak and chips which was followed by a chocolate brownie sundae. The two people working Mandy and Colin were smiling and happy all the way through and were happy to let me sit and get on with the work I needed to do. Excellent food, good service and a lovely environment. Cheers Penwig staff see you soon

Not a good experience food wise. Drinks were good. You can’t really mess up a drink. However the food was not good at all. I had the beef roast and it was the worst meal I’ve ever had. Meat was tough. Mash was hard so were the carrots. Potatoes were plain and soggy along with the Yorkshire which also had no flavour. The gravy was like gloop it was AWFUL. Super super sad about this as I thought it would atleast be good

Amazing from start to finish what a team! Mandy was an amazing host making sure we had every thing we needed to have an amazing meal it was fresh and plentiful, our 16 year old daughter has autism and was getting totally overwhelmed so didn’t want to order as she has huge anxiety about food choices when the food had come out she changed her mind and did want something to eat but was anxious that she would be an inconvenience by asking but Mandy picked up on this and told her she’d put her food through Immediately we mentioned that she doesn’t want her rice in with her vegetable chilly and Mandy picked up that our daughter had major issue with eating out due to this anxiety but she asked the kitchen to put everything separately how amazing was that for customer service and intuition we have come away with a lovely inclusive meal with our daughter now with a full belly . Thank you Mandy and team we are certainly recommending you all for food to all our friends .

Tasty food at a good price, pub grub burgers, steaks etc,. Friendly welcoming staff. Best view in the village. Definitely visit again.

Great staff, food cooked well, welcoming and pleasant staff, visited a few times over the last few days of our great visit to Newquay, Definitely worth a visit even if it’s for a cold drink whilst taking in the sunset, great views over the bay.

The food and drinks were fabulous didnt have to wait long at all and the staff were really friendly and welcoming Big shoutout to Mandy her energy really brought laughter and fun vibes to our table she definitely needs a raise and promotion
