Four Points by Sheraton French Quarter

I had a change in travel plans and had another hotel before I could get my room at the Four Points. I was never so happy that even though I had trudged across the French Quarter and got there just after noon, my room was ready!!! I thought I would have to check my bag until the 4pm checkin time but the front desk professionals understood my plight and I loved my room, especially the location! Bed was amazing, TV as well bottled water in the little frig and such wonderful cleanliness that many other New Orleans hotels do NOT have. Their bedding and towels stink!

Wonderful location. Very, very clean! And could not ask for better service. We will absolutely be staying again!

For our first trip to New Orleans, we wanted to stay in the French Quarter to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere and have easy access to Bourbon Street. The Four Points was a unique option that offered us this setting while also earning Bonvoy points. We booked a room with a balcony facing Toulouse Street; at first we were hesitant to spend the extra money, but it ended up being worthwhile. Our travel party was two women and we often didn’t feel safe walking down Bourbon, so this was a great option to take in the environment from afar even when we called it a night. While it goes without saying that with the balcony comes noise from the surrounding area, we wouldn’t have expected any different given the location; in fact, it was actually less audible in the room itself than we would’ve expected. Beyond the balcony, the room was a decent size for an older city hotel and appeared to be recently renovated. The bathroom, on the other hand, was quite tight (the double doors were comical) and the plumbing was fairly weak. While we didn’t utilize the pool, it looked like a quaint, charming area. The staff throughout the property was fine; did their jobs, but weren’t overly hospitable. The property has some well-intentioned safety measures in place, like a stand for security to check room keys for registered guests; however, the stand was often empty and we rarely had anyone check our keys. Overall, we weren’t big fans of New Orleans as a whole but glad we chose the Four Points for our first visit to the city primarily due to the location and balcony. If debating between booking a room with a balcony or not, I would definitely encourage it as having a view of the local architecture (including St. Louis Cathedral) was a very unique experience.
