Kimpton Hotel Fontenot by IHG

Very old hotel and unclean carpet. Staff service extremely slow. It took me 30 minutes to get my car using valet parking. I don't understand how this hotel got this rating. The price at this level hotel is ironic. Don't book.

Hotel was perfect for what we needed - a place where pets are allowed, comfortable beds, and close to the French Quarter. Ross the valet was especially helpful and friendly.

Always a pleasure to stay here from the Peacock Room, to the on the go water and coffee as well. At the front door, Ross is the best.

Kimpton brand hotels are my favorite in the IHG family. New Orleans is one of my favorite cities in the US. Pairing them together was perfect! Stayed for our anniversary and got top-of-the-line service. We did have a room issue upon check-in, but it was rectified immediately, and they topped it off with an apology treat. Our bed was comfortable, the tub in the bathroom made for a great soak - when we received the proper tub stopper. There was more than enough room to relax in our 1-bedroom suite, and we took full advantage of it for the week we were there. While checking out, the hotel was inundated with three wedding parties, yet they still found time and energy to ensure that we were pleased with our stay. I will always check here first whenever I plan to visit New Orleans. We were only steps away from the French Quarter, and everywhere we wanted to go within the city was accessible by trolley or on foot. October in New Orleans is still quite warm, so be prepared for that if you're from a colder climate, like I am. Our suite was part of a connected room. Usually, this annoys me, but I don't think we had anyone in the adjacent room the entire week we were there. The hotel provided Wine Down Wednesdays, nightly happy hours, and three different restaurants to choose from. If we didn't want to leave the hotel at all, we still would have had a great time.

The location is awesome for a family. Close to the French quarrter but not too close. Close to where he of our favorite restaurants (Cochon Butcher). Easy walk to the trolley, pharmacy or grocery store. From check in with Stormi who was very kind and patient explaining to us all of the different amenities of the hotel, to the staff at King Brasserie, everyone is so friendly. Loved our stay.
