Merchant Lofts by Hosteeva has a fantastic location, a quick walk from the French Quarter and surrounded by great dining, shopping, and nightlife. The lofts themselves are roomy and feature handy touches like fully equipped kitchens and in-unit washers and dryers—definite pluses for stays of any length. That said, a few furnishings are starting to look a little tired, and the rooftop lounge hasn’t been spruced up to match the polished imagery found online. The street noise in the evening can carry, so light sleepers may want to ask for a loft facing away from Bourbon.

I stayed at Merchant Lofts by Hosteeva during my trip to New Orleans. The best part of this property is definitely the location—just a short walk to the French Quarter, shops, and restaurants. The loft itself was spacious and had convenient amenities like a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and modern appliances, which made the stay feel comfortable and home-like. That said, there were a few small issues. The furniture showed some wear, and there was occasional street noise at night. While the apartment was mostly clean, a few details could have been improved. Communication with the management team was polite but sometimes a bit slow. Overall, it’s a good option if you value space, amenities, and being close to everything. Just be prepared for a little city noise and some minor quirks.

I loved the easy access to the property. No one bothered us. Place was clean and had everything we needed. Walkable to everything. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location; great space
This was a nice place. The location was great— near enough that everything is easy to get to but far enough away to not be overly chaotic and noisy. Super spacious rooms with a great kitchen

The pros: location, the size of the unit, the quick responsiveness to messages by the property staff.
Cons:
Front door was often open and not locked.
Mattress was hard and very uncomfortable, stains on the sheets, stains on the extra blanket.
There are multiple holes in the walls which have not been patched.
The ceiling fan is broken and the remote holder is falling off the wall.
The frame to the closet is broken and the closet doors don't shut.
The bathroom doors don't shut.
It's a weird vibe, cozy is not what I would call it. My husband described it as an Eastern European hostel.
We booked last minute so that's on us.
Hopefully they can get these fixed because it could be cozy if there was some better art and a couple of rugs, and the items above were addressed.

One stop stay is all you need.
Great location for staying. Walking distance to all areas, French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Canal Street is one block away. Amazing breakfast place right across the street called Ruby Slipper. Few minutes walk to the River and ****** Cesar’s Palace and The Vue of New Orleans. Little conscience store just north of canal street for snacks and drinks.

Very good except communication
The place was very good, as the pictures. Very good location Only one window. But ok to pass time outdoors.
We couldn’t get communication till the last morning , when we were leaving
