La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham New Haven

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham New Haven ★★

📍 400 Sargent Dr, New Haven

"The environment wasn't as glamorous as the pictures suggested, and the room smelled of smoke (probably from burnt heating, I'm not sure, but it wasn't fresh). Breakfast was pitifully simple: dry bread, crisps, milk, coffee, apple, waffles, and egg pancakes. The guests seemed to be from a lower-income group. Although I only stayed one night, and it wasn't particularly expensive at just over 600 yuan, the experience was unpleasant, and I'll avoid this hotel for future business trips…"

The Blake Hotel ★★★★

📍 9 High St, New Haven

"I like this hotel very much. It is next to Yale University, with a great location and is very safe. The elderly receptionist who greeted us in the evening was very attentive and considerate, and the service was very good. It left us with a very good first impression of this city. The decoration is modern and stylish."

Courtyard New Haven at Yale

Courtyard New Haven at Yale ★★★

📍 30 Whalley Ave, New Haven

"I feel that the facilities in the United States are not as good as those in China for the same brand of hotel. The room facilities are relatively simple, barely adequate, and the bathroom is relatively small. There are no slippers, kettles, or free mineral water. Buy mineral water in the lobby for $4 per bottle. The hotel has a laundry room, and self-service laundry is more convenient. You can exchange coins at the front desk. The front desk staff has a good service attitude and is relatively friendly. The breakfast is good, you can order your own food, and it is delicious, and the price is around $10-15."

Graduate by Hilton New Haven

Graduate by Hilton New Haven ★★★★

📍 1151 Chapel St, New Haven

"It's pretty good. There are many restaurants, bakeries and small supermarkets around. There is a small electric kettle in the room for boiling water."

New Haven Hotel ★★★
"Great lounge area, but would have loved if there was some sort of continental breakfast. Even if it was just pastries and cereal (without having to buy cereal and milk separately). Also, didn’t really like that the fan and light in the bathroom were connected. So I couldn’t just have the light on."

The Blake Hotel ★★★★
"The room is new and clean. The location is also very good, only a five-minute walk from the old campus of Yale University. You can reach the chapel by walking along Hight Road and crossing two intersections. I am very satisfied with the hotel. The only drawback is that the parking fee is too expensive, $39 per night, while Ctrip recommended $25, and it is valet parking, which is really inconvenient to use a car."

New Haven Inn ★★
"The entrance area of the hotel was dirty, as was the whole hotel. The stairs to the first floor are covered with a carpet that has never been vacuumed. There is no elevator. The windows have not been cleaned for years and you can't open them either. The room was musty, the toilet wobbled and the flush was running the whole time. The hotel was a total disaster. I admit that it wasn't the most expensive, but you can't spend money on a place like that. It can be different. Two days before we were in Cap Code at the Cap Sands Inn for the same price. Clean and pretty decent for a motel. No reputable agent can actually offer this hotel! The pictures on the homepage or from the agents are embellished."

"I booked a room with breakfast included. When I had breakfast in the morning, I asked for coffee and fruit (fruit is paid separately). The waiter did not give me a menu and said OK. I thought it was a unified breakfast. But other people's breakfasts were delivered but ours was not. Finally, after communicating with the front desk, the menu was delivered to us. I felt that the waiter discriminated against Chinese people."
