Good location
Nice hotel is a great location. Although we didn’t eat in the restaurant it did look very nice. Rooms are good but the bathrooms are very dated and in need of renovation.

Dated Hotel in a lovely town.
Located in a nice town with a good ambience. The hotel reception and dining room were welcoming, but the room was very dated and disappointing. The bathroom was from the 1970's with a plastic caravan shower and poor decoration. The bedroom was very small with barely walk room around the bed. The rooms were very "creaky" with lots of noise from neighbouring rooms up to falling asleep.

The restaurant in this hotel is excellent. We've been having Sunday lunch here every time we stay in Neufchatel for years and it's just gets better and better .....if that is possible. I have read the reviews some of which are less complimentary ......well that's never been our experience . The food is fantastic the staff are great with a real sense of humour....or was it my school french?! Monsieur who runs the show is immeasurably courteous. It's a real joy going to the restaurant. A tip book your meal to avoid disappointment it appears very popular

O NOT STAY HERE Avenue Verte Cyclist's. The place to store your bike is terrible. A Rickety old wooden shed with no lock on the door and in an unsecure garden at the front of the hotel. Apparently someone broke the lock, presumably to steal bicycles?! Inside the shed is a flimsy bike rack NOT fixed to the floor and there are no available locks. Whilst the food in the restaurant was good. I was given the worst table despite booking weeks in advance. . When I asked to move I was told it was not possible. One of the two tables I asked to move to was not ever occupied! My room had no shower. The bath was so small I could not sit in it with straight legs and the bath did not drain at all. The “air-con” is just a portable fan and useless.. The unfriendly staff appeared to treat the non resident with more respect. Presumably because the bedrooms and bathrooms are so run down, they think you must be as well to stay here! Stay somewhere else and book a table here for dinner

We always head here for our last day in France and enjoy the delights of the Normandy town and lovely hotel. The dinner was superb as always and a lovely way to finish up our two week holiday. There is lots of parking in the centre or behind the hotel and we have never had any problems. Would certainly recommend.

This is hotel is so good. The restaurant is Michelin star level. It really is. The people are so kind and willing to help. There is nothing wrong, maybe the rooms are a little old but very much ok. But again, the restaurant is absolutely top level and I am in restaurants 100+ times a year. Michelin Star ready.

As others have said the manager does not have good customer service skills, no offer of help with luggage, not allowed to have a drink outside etc. one could almost feel we were an inconvenience and he’d rather be looking at his computer screen. The rooms are clean but dated, the bathrooms in particular need attention and the breakfast was OK. However these shortcomings can be overlooked because of the excellent restaurant - a very high standard with some interesting combinations, I had the Cassulet ris de veau which was outstanding, and the rest of the party were equally enthusiastic about their choices. Thankfully the waiting staff haven’t picked up the managers poor standards and provided a very friendly and efficient service.
