Hotel Beaulac

Hotel Beaulac ★★★★

📍 Esp. Léopold-Robert 2, Neuchatel

"Stayed for four nights in a family suite, which was comfortable and large enough, with good service. People in the small city were very welcoming, the food was good, and it was by the lake, and when the sun was out you could see the sunrise and sunset, with nice scenery."

Beau Rivage Hotel
8.9 (47 reviews)

Beau Rivage Hotel ★★★★★

📍 Esp. du Mont-Blanc 1, Neuchatel

"The hotel is located in the center of the city with grand lake view. It’s walking distance to the town with lots of good restaurant options. The hotel itself has a restaurant but it doesn’t open on Mon. The food is delicious. One bottle of water is provided and you can either order room service for water or buy water from nearby coops. Strongly recommend the family to stay."

Hôtel Alpes & Lac

Arts Hotel
8.4 (102 reviews)

Arts Hotel ★★★

📍 Rue J.-L.-Pourtalès 3, Neuchatel

"The room has a balcony where you can smoke. It's very close to Lake Neuchâtel, there's a bar downstairs where you can have a drink, and the cable car is very nearby. It's also convenient for taking the train."

Hôtel de l'Ecluse
8.5 (12 reviews)

Hôtel de l'Ecluse ★★★

📍 Rue de l'Ecluse 24, Neuchatel

"The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. But what I appreciated the most was the kindness of the staff and the small patio to relax."

Petit Hôtel de Chaumont
9.0 (6 reviews)

Petit Hôtel de Chaumont ★★★

📍 Chemin de la Tour 20, Neuchatel

"This was the worst experience I've ever had. The staff were needlessly rude, and we had to wait over 15 minutes for our order. Despite the high prices, basic courtesy like a simple "hello" or "thank you" was completely missing. A perfect example of how *not* to treat customers."

Hotel Beaulac ★★★★
"Facing the big lake, there are also yachts on the lake. The scenery is very pleasant. There are also very convenient tourist trains nearby. It takes 45 minutes to go to a high place and have a bird's eye view of the entire town."

"Very close to the Genève station. Could find easily even in the night. It was the first time in Geneve to catch an early flight so the location was best."

"Overall, it is a cost-effective hotel in Naxatere. The surrounding environment is good and the traffic is convenient. The only bad thing is that there will be noise when the buffet downstairs is closed at night."

Arts Hotel ★★★
"We received a very warm welcome. The room was very pleasant, a little too hot, and lacked ventilation. Apart from that, the parking is rather complicated, which is a shame, but it's a very nice hotel. I highly recommend it; excellent value for money and well located."

Hôtel de l'Ecluse ★★★
"The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and always ready to help or provide information. The rooms are very nice and have everything you need. Mine even had a small kitchenette (which can be handy 😉). It's close to the lake, the castle, the pedestrian streets, the train station, and bus lines. Perfect for visiting Neuchâtel!"

Hotel Palafitte ★★★★★
"With huts reaching into the lake, the concept is intriguing, but not worth the exceptional price. If you don't want to sit on your balcony, you can only sit in the small outside bar (nothing special there), or the restaurant (great view but very limited choice of mediocre foods very fancy decorated). The service is rather slow and if you don't speak English, you will have difficulty ordering. I am sorry to say, but we will not be coming back."

Les Galeries Marval ★★★★
"The location is excellent, and the unit itself was nice. Unfortunately, our experience getting into the property was one of the most frustrating travel experiences I've had. We booked through a third-party travel site and were not aware that check-in effectively ends at 7:00 PM. After arriving in Neuchâtel, we spent considerable time trying to locate the property. When we finally found it, we discovered it was closed. Since access is managed through the art gallery, there was no reception staff available, and the phone numbers posted on the door did not work. After a long international flight and while dealing with jet lag, we were left standing outside without access to our accommodations and ultimately had to book and pay for another hotel for the night. Later, after spending additional time searching online, I was able to find another contact number and received a response. My biggest concern is that this critical check-in restriction was not clearly communicated during the booking process through the third-party site. Had I known that arriving after 7:00 PM could result in being unable to access the property, I would have either made arrangements in advance or booked elsewhere. What was most disappointing was that despite explaining the situation and providing evidence that the booking confirmation did not clearly communicate these restrictions, the property was unwilling to refund the first night that we were unable to use. Future travelers should also be aware that access is controlled through a single key. The key is required not only to access your room but also to enter the building itself. This is especially important on Sundays and Mondays when the downstairs gallery is closed. If one person leaves with the key, the other guest can be locked out of both the building and the room. For two travelers with different schedules, this can be very inconvenient. The apartment may be a good option for travelers arriving during business hours and planning to stay together at all times, but anyone arriving in the evening should confirm access arrangements well in advance. I learned that lesson the hard and expensive way."
