Property Description
(New listing) This panoramic beachfront vacation oasis boasts 3600+ SF with first and second floor decks with breathtaking views, 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 3 large living room spaces, fireplaces, large high-end Smart TV’s (one is 82”!), firepits and so much more. This is a historic property that has some of the old-world charm with new beautiful enhancements and features to give it that “where old meets new vibe” - so much charm, space for everyone to have fun, relax and create memories that last a lifetime – this will likely become your destination where you come back time and time again as you’re truly in paradise, The Oregon Beachfront Paradise! This is THE LARGEST ground level OCEANFRONT property in all of Happy Camp and the Netarts area with three bedrooms and two full baths on the ground level, which is almost unheard of for a beachfront property, and two bedrooms and full bathroom on the second floor – spacious, beautiful and a panoramic oceanfront experience! There’s even room to park your boat!!! • Maximum occupancy per county ordinance is 17 guests total with a maximum of 14 adults + up to 3 children age 12 or under Spacious interior to accommodate family and friends and yet several options for times when you want privacy and a peaceful setting: First Floor: • 3 bedrooms • 2 full bathrooms • 2 large living rooms (one w/sectional that sleeps 2), kitchen, dining area, fireplace, Smart TV’s • Expansive deck, that you access through the sliding glass door off the kitchen, with outdoor furniture, grill and is literally steps to the beach Second Floor • 2 large bedrooms: One queen bedroom and a loft with two full size beds at the top of the stairs with sliding glass doors leading to the deck to enjoy your coffee in the morning and spectacular sunsets and a glass of wine in the evening! • Living room (w/sectional that sleeps 2) • Full bathroom Incredible Outdoor Space • Direct beach access located right where beautiful Netarts Bay joins the Pacific Ocean! Incredible crabbing, clamming, fishing, kayaking, relaxation with beach campfires, barbeque oysters and enjoy cool refreshments while watching breathtaking sunsets • The entry to the property welcomes you with a ground level artistic stamped concrete with salmon/ starfish appaearing to make their way to the ocean and an arbor with flowering ivy/nighttime illumination and palm trees for the full West Coast Experience…you almost feel like you could be in Bora Bora, Hawaii or even Key West but alas, you’re in one of the best places in the world! • The expansive outdoor space is over 0.7 acres and 125 ft of oceanfront making your vacation dreams come true. The property has a large deck with three picnic tables, outdoor furniture, propane stainless steel Weber grill, fire pits with seating to enjoy your beverages/smores and so much more and a private gate that leads you to your incredible beachfront access, bring your favorite games like cornhole or simply relax and take in the breathtaking views! The home has the "owner’s apartment” This space will never be rented to a separate group so it will either be vacant or used by the owners. Other considerations for planning your fun! • Note that the quoted rate assumes up to 8 guests. If you want to have more than 8 guests, you MUST include the correct number of guests at the time of booking or request to modify your reservation and receive approval IN ADVANCE of your stay to ensure compliance with local ordinances and the correct rate is calculated – no exceptions. Violations will result in the booking being cancelled and no refund will be provided, again this is to ensure compliance with local ordinances. This has never been an issue with our amazing guests. • The property has a large oceanfront yard and gorgeous setting with firepits, palm trees and private beachfront access, ideal to create those memorable family gatherings. • Regarding pets, we allow dogs (no cats) on a case-by-case basis. The key things we look for to allow a dog to stay is that they are housebroken (potty trained), are small (2 years old), not allowed on any furniture, do not cause damage to the floors or anything else and that the owners of the pets thoroughly clean up after them before check-out (i.e. vacuum to remove all pet hair, etc.). We also ask that guests bring a dog bed for the dog to sleep in and not allow them to sleep on the carpet. We just want to keep the place clean, looking new and smelling fresh for every guest. We also have a small pet fee if they meet these criteria. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed but they must meet the pet requirements and be approved in advance, no exceptions. Two days prior to check-in, we will email you information with the pass code for the electronic locks and other useful information for your stay. In the meantime, we wanted to provide you with some of the info that's included in that email so you can start planning your fun :-) • Tasting local goodies: o Tillamook Cheese Factory: Great fun at the factory as they provide tours of the cheese-manufacturing process, tasty samples of the local product and delicious ice cream o Blue Heron: Cool shop offering a variety of tastings from dips, brie cheese to wine. • As for crabbing, Netarts Bay is one of the best locations in Oregon. We love crabbing from the shore, building a bonfire and clamming all at the same time - it's almost like a oceanside triathlon :-) o You can rent crabbing boats at nearby facilities. You can also purchase shellfish licenses at each location (required for crabbing, clamming and mussels). Just give them a call in advance to reserve the boats and ask them to suggest the best times to go crabbing (they’ll check out the tides for you). They can also give you tips on where to go clamming. For clamming, we typically go for cockles and use garden rakes to get them out of the sand. You can also go for gapers. • Be sure to visit Cape Meares for some incredible sight-seeing and photography/video. It’s just a short drive from our house. • “The triple-play bonanza fun (crab, clam and bonfire all at the same time and steps from the house.” I suggest doing this 1 hour before low tide if you want to go clamming. From the house, walk to the beach access. Toss out your crab traps (ideally low tide so you can get to the deeper channel). One trick is to tie a long rope (like 200’) to the float on your trap so you can tie that off on the shore or to a stick that you push into the sand. Once you toss out your traps, collect driftwood and create your bonfire. Once the fire is started, check your crab traps and then toss them back in for another 30 minute “soak.” Now grab your buckets and walk to the south maybe 100-200 yards and you’ll find the clam beds. You know you’re at the right place as you’ll see hundreds of holes in the sand. Stomp on the ground and if the clams squirt water up at your legs you’re there…it reminds me of the fountains in Portland’s Waterfront. Once you have found the clams, start digging (use a shovel or you can be rough and tough and use your hands…they both work). The clams are about 18-24” below the surface. Once you find a clam, keep searching in the same area and you’ll find many more. It's not uncommon to find 40+ clams in one area and these are the Pacific Gaper Clam (or “horse” clam). Now don’t forget about the crab traps. Check these at 30-minute intervals but you can always leave them soaking longer if you want. Have fun! • “Coffee, Mussel and Tunnel Adventure (allow ~3 hours and suggest going 1-2 hours before low tide if possible)”. If you enjoy eating mussels or just want a nice long walk with incredible views and great beach combing, this is so much fun. From the house, walk to the beach access. Head north (to the right) so you’ll be walking along the water’s edge with the Pacific Ocean on your left side. Continue walking north until you reach Oceanside. You’ll have breathtaking views of the Three Arch Rocks, but wait, the views and experiences have just begun. At this point, walk to one of the coffee shops just a few steps away and get a large vanilla latte. Head back down to the beach with your latte and then continue walking north until you reach the base of the cliff. You’ll see a dark hole at the base to the right side…that’s the tunnel! Walk through the tunnel…it’s quite large but watch your head. Once you get to the other side, you’ll have a completely different view and OMG…why didn’t we find this place sooner. Ok, you’re still not done having fun. As you exit the tunnel and are in awe of the views, walk along the base of the cliff to the water’s edge. If you’re at low tide, the retreat of the water has now exposed the bounty of the sea! If you look along the edge of the rocks at the base of the cliff, you’ll see all kinds of mussels. You can literally pick and choose what size mussel you want. We suggest bringing a plastic bag (i.e. Safeway shopping bag) and possibly some sharp instruments (like a fishing knife) to remove the mussels from the rocks. If you plan on getting mussels, you'll need a shellfish license. Which you can get from Big Spruce (close to the house at 850 Netarts Highway West in Netarts) or Fred Meyer in Tillamook. • Also, there's a charming shop close by called the "Cool Stuff" located nearby • Maximum occupancy per county ordinance is 17 guests total with a maximum of 14 adults + up to 3 children age 12 or under • STR License#: 851-20-000038-STVR • Outdoor-only cameras next to parking spaces/entry are presentAbout pets:Pets allowed: dogs less than 20 lbs per pet (limit 2 pets total).Pet fee is $30/night per pet.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.A

Our family of 9 (arriving from 4 different places) came together for our annual get together in Oregon. The house was amazing and loaction was right on the beach. There were separate living spaces in the house which allowed for multiple activites simultaneously (ie. watch tv/movies, put togehter a puzzle, play games). As we left our family talked about reserving for our next year family get together. :-)

Family memories We had four generations aging 1-85 years old and it was a wonderful time for everyone!! The house is gorgeous and spacious. The location is perfect with a very large yard for the kids to play plus the beach and water is safe for the little ones to play for hours. Very easy beach access that the great grandparents were able to navigate easily. We loved doing the crabbing and clamming, walking on the beach, bonfires and roasting s'mores. The kitchen is very well equipped and having a second refrigerator was very helpful. The laundry room is a very nice bonus. Nick was very helpful and accommodating and he was always quick to respond to any of our questions. Great grandma loved it so much that she wants to stay for all summer. Very peaceful and very fun. Great combo. Twelve of us came away with lasting family memories. Thank you so much for providing a wonderful, beautiful, comfortable, spacious home.

Perfect family getaway We had a great time and we lucked out on the weather. Nick’s instructions on crabbing and things to do was very helpful and the kids really enjoyed being a part of the crabbing process. Everything was very comfy and cozy and we all had a chance to relax and yet have fun. Highly recommend this place! Beautiful location, easy access to the beach and a super big fire pit for s’mores!

Better than the listing. Wonderful Lots of spaces to gather or get away. Beachfront view and access were the highlight of the stay. The large TV’s were fun for March Madness and playing video games. Kitchen was excellent for preparing large meals and well appointed. Would definitely go back when the weather is better.
