"I chose this hotel because of it's location to the beach and Nessebar old town which were both fantastic. The second factor was its spa facilities which were non existent. There was a steam room and Sauna that were rarely turned on and one masseur who would lear at the ladies on the beach. There was no way his hands were coming anywhere near me. Really disappointing. The beach was lovely but the 'beach service ' assistant was awful. Rude is an understatement. We went to the beach once and he was so obnoxious when we took an ashtray from a bed that, we were to find out later, could be rented at extra cost. He was so aggressive and snatched the ashtray away without any explanation. He then sat all day snearing at the guests. We used the pool after this. The pool was lovely but, yet again, the pool assistant was rude and unwelcoming. We were not told that you needed a ticket to take a beach towel. He very sharply pointed to the desk and barked at us and everyone else who were ill informed about this on arrival. The loungers were plentiful but hard plastic with no padding, making them extremely uncomfortable. I had 2 of my own towels but they were not enough to make them any easier to lay on. The pool bar was ok but the cocktails at the lounge bar were much nicer. The food was ok. Typical of most all inclusive hotels. Breakfast was the best meal of the day. The only negative comment would be that nothing was ever hit enough. The dining room staff were refreshingly friendly. The hotel was clean but the rooms were tired. Our curtains didn't even fit the windows but it was clean enough. Sadly I wouldn't recommend this hotel, purely due to the rudeness of the staff. I don't expect red carpet treatment but a smile and respectful manner should be the minimum requirement when hiring staff."

"Great location right at the beach. Hotel has elevator direct to the beach. There are no supplied beach or pool towels. You need to buy them from the reception or souvenier shop . The Room I stayed 101 had a great Balkon direct to the beach and Hotel pool. The breakfast was good. Standart english and continental with daily change of local specialities. Great variety of Mueslie and additional extras."

"The first time in Bulgaria, and the last it was ok. The hotel was clean and the staff were reasonably friendly, in a good location and far enough from Sunny beach. Our biggest gripe was the food a limited variety of which consisted of pork or chicken 90% of the time which always appeared to be lukewarm, fries and pizza were the only items that were hot if they had just been put out. I don’t think that it is indicative of this hotel or location, pork appears to be the the first choice in Eastern Europe but if you expect 4* star food you will be sadly disappointed, Western European countries cater much better to our tastes and quality. We went for 10 days mid May if you like a warm pool I would recommend you go in the peak season as it was freezing cold even though the average day time temperature was about 24 Celsius."

"Absolutely fantastic stay at this family hotel! Location fantastic ‘ Dinko the hotel manager made us feel super welcome and we even got the most amazing room on our first day, with a lovely view of the Marina ! We loved it so much that we extended our stay and settled for the Triple Room with the Marina View ! We ate mainly at the restaurant next door called Sacre , amazing food and service . Dinko provided vouchers on one day for Breakfast at the St John hotel! Highly recommend this family hotel ! Lovely path way for a nice long walk alongside the Sea! Close to the bus stop and all the wonderful sites within the old town! Rojie Kisten and Kevin Smit ! South Africa ! We will be back next year with our families for sure !😃😃😃"

"This is a lovely hotel, very modern and clean. Rooms are spacious, I had a lovely huge bed, as a solo, this is appreciated. Kettle, safe. Fridge, air-conditioning, TV was lacking in English programmes, as in it had none. You could access Netflix and You Tube, if you have existing accounts with them. The buffet restaurant was good, always a few choices, I found the food tasty, though usually luke warm, there is a microwave, which I made use off. There was always pizza and salads. The tables were cleared quickly and the staff were young and friendly. The lounge is nice and bright, though surprised the bar closed at 10 pm, when you then had to go downstairs to the night bar. There is an indoor pool and gym. The outdoor pool is lovely and plenty of sunbeds, it also has a pool bar until 6pm. Many thanks to Pancho, Anton and Jakob for their friendly service. The down points for me were, the smoking everywhere, round the pool, in the glass dining area, when peopke are eating. The lack of comfortable seating in the lounge, a few couches, but lots of high stools and tables, of which many older people found difficult to access. There is a lot of wasted space where more couches and small tables can be put, in the are up to the side of the reception desk. The lack of entertainment was a big dissapointment, bingo, karaoke, by in the in house animators. I would have expected proper entertainment to be brought in at least 4 nights of the week. Downstairs night bar, dark, dingy and again high tables and stools. It seemed to me this was mostly geared to younger people, when ghe actual demographic was older guests. The pool music is a notch too loud, especially when the animators are playing it. The surrounding area, was a let down in terms of entertainment, lots of places closed. Old Town worth a visit, Sunny Beach a lot busier. Maybe time for Nessebar to start it's season earlier. Coming from the UK, I found it hard to get used to the constant smoking everywhere, Bulgarians seem to be very heavy smokers. With a few tweaks re seating and entertainment, I would have given a higher score."

"We stayed there one night. It was lovely. Large room. Comfortable bed. Nice side terrace where we could see the sea and eat outside. Yes, we could see the neighbors from the hotel next door, but it wasn't a big deal. The beach is a 2-minute walk away, which is fantastic. Friendly welcome (note that they only speak Bulgarian). Old Nessebar is easily accessible by car."

"We emailed ahead to let the hotel know my daughter and myself have coeliac disease so could we have gluten free bread and pastries at breakfast. We asked on the first morning, they had none. For the next 3 days we asked but no. After reading reviews where people had been given lovely gluten free bread and pancakes we were very disappointed. Staff would only say good morning/good evening if we said it first, or else there was no greeting. Breakfast waitresses were almost rude as they would barge past, never smiling. I even got told off and pushed away from the water machine when filling my child’s bottle 5 minutes after breakfast ended. There were other people still having things to eat and drink so I thought I’d get some water. They didn’t stop others, only me! Very nice, clean and comfortable building. Let down by the staff. One friendly man at breakfast and one young lady on the front desk but that was all. Be careful of taxi drivers over charging. Set your price before you get in the cab! Beautiful old town and some good trips."
