Zur Neroburg

Our group (five cyclists, one hiker) spent six perfect days at the Hotel Zur Neroburg. With foresight, I chose Thursday and Tuesday morning, as the kitchen is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; alternative dinner options are, of course, available for hotel guests. We enjoyed wonderful bike rides in all four directions, through the Eifel: a paradise for sporty cyclists and e-bikes! The hotel is excellently run by the Müllerstein family. We immediately felt at home. I chose the hotel because of its perfect location for us cyclists and because of the cuisine. What junior and head chef Kevin Müllerstein and his team offer is exceptional. The half-board menu is of the finest quality, haute cuisine; all courses are prepared with love and variety, and the service is excellently organized. The price-performance ratio (2024: €80 per person in a double room for half-board) is unimaginably good. During our sometimes strenuous bike rides of 110 km - 135 km, we looked forward to the evenings when we were pampered by the kitchen. A special feature of the kitchen: every six weeks, fish and seafood are offered alternately. For a small surcharge on half board, we tried the lobster, gutted and served with fantastic sauces and side dishes, and the "Paella 2.0," with all the ingredients freshly prepared, of course—a cuisine like in the land of milk and honey! Summary: I wouldn't have thought such quality restaurants with such relatively reasonable prices still existed today. In the Eifel region, at the hotel-restaurant "Zur Neroburg," these culinary desires can still be fulfilled.

Middelmatig hotel voor flinke prijs Incheck was er eigenlijk niet. De kamer op 1e etage, maar daarvoor moet men wel 3 trappen op. Er is dus geen lift. Een heel lage deur op de gang, waardoor wij onze hoofden stootten. Badkamer is erg klein en wastafel en wc heel laag. Kamer was erg stoffig en er lag nog papier van vorige gasten op de vloer van onze kamer. Allerlei spullen van de renovatie staan op het balkon voor het raam van onze kamer. En kamermeisje staat te roken voor ons kamerraam. Ontbijt is erg goed en meer dan voldoende. Ander groot pluspunt is dat men gratis en voor het hotel kan parkeren. En vooral dat de medewerkers erg vriendelijk en beleefd zijn. Al met al een middelmatig hotel dat wel de volle prijs rekent.

Ein gutes Restaurant mit guter Küche. Qualität ist gut, Auswahl in der Karte überschaubar. Auf der Außenterrasse sitzt man ganz gut. Da hier innen wohl noch geraucht werden "darf" haben wir beim zweiten Mal, es hatte geregnet, innen im Nichtraucherbereich gesessen. Das war nicht so schön. Wie in einem Glaskasten. War nett, aber muss nicht wieder sein.

Prima ruime kamer, goed bed en badkamer. Ontbijt was goed en gevarieerd. Het restaurant had Ruhetag op onze aankomstdag maar we hadden van te voren gevraagd of er iets geregeld kon worden en dat was mogelijk: we kregen een goeie maaltijd. Fijn dat dit zo kon, dank u wel!

Heel netjes en verzorgd! Super lekker eten! Ideale uitvalsbasis!!!

Zum wiederholten Mal spitzenmäßig und überraschend, auf jeden Fall auch zum satt werden. Die saisonalen Kreationen besonders ideenreich und köstlich. Die Nachspeise "Waldboden" für Auge und Gaumen ein besonderer Schmaus. Immer eine Empfehlung!
