I tried many hotels in this area, it took me a while to find the best, mainly due to eliminating the ones
with poor internet, This one has good internet, Is classed as a 3 star but the rooms are all modern with good facilities and
really clean and comfortable, great showers, The hotel is on top of one of the Welsh hills and surrounded by Sheep farms with great
views, free and easy parking and the hotel team are very welcoming and provide excellent service, I stayed around 7 times now and
always return a few times each year, Nice bar and eating areas too,

When arriving for the first time you know this will be very rural when you have to drive around the cattle grazing on the road. The hotel is about a mile down a narrow lane at the top of a hill. The views from the top are superb. There is sufficient parking, though the overflow car park can be hard to spot. It's hard to think that you are just 30 minutes or so from Cardiff city centre. Check in was straightforward and the room was a little larger than the average double hotel room. It had all the usual facilities and bonus: this hotel still puts out biscuits! Breakfast was booked in 30 minute slots, the menu is excellent and it is freshly cooked. There is also a buffet of cereals, pastries etc. Staff were friendly and the service was excellent. We visit Cardiff quite often and, rather than find a hotel in the city, I think we will make this our first choice in the future. Footnote for EV drivers; I could see no charge point here. The nearest town with a decent number seems to be Caerphilly, about 6 or 7 miles away.

We held our wedding reception at Llechwen Hall, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we started planning, the team was attentive, organised, and incredibly supportive, making the whole process stress-free. On the day itself, everything ran seamlessly—the Jail House reception space looked beautiful (thanks also to our decorator Lavent), the food and drinks were outstanding, and the staff went above and beyond to look after us and our guests. Many of our family and friends stayed at the hotel and were equally impressed with the comfort, service, and warm welcome they received. We’re so grateful to the entire team for helping make our wedding celebration unforgettable, and we couldn’t recommend Llechwen Hall highly enough.

We’ve just returned from a one-night stay at Llechwen Hall Hotel, having booked a Premium room that was advertised as offering an extra touch of indulgence for a luxurious experience. At first glance, the room appeared lovely—bathrobes laid out to set the tone for a relaxing stay. However, it quickly became clear that the room didn’t quite live up to its luxurious promise. One of the bathrobes had deep, ingrained makeup stains around the collar, suggesting it hadn’t been properly laundered after the previous guests. The contrast between the stained robe and the clean one raised concerns about whether the robes had actually been washed since the previous customers visit I went to reception to report the issue and was met by the night staff, despite it being only around 5:30 PM. The receptionist said she would try to contact someone to replace the bathrobe. I mentioned that room services were operating in the Coach House, where we were staying, and she asked me to speak to them directly to request the replacement. I also raised concerns about the bathroom, specifically the presence of foul-smelling water, slime, and visible mould behind the plastic trim where the bath meets the tiles. The trim was defective, and I requested that someone inspect the issue. She assured me that she would contact the Duty Manager to come and take a look. No one came to look at the Bathroom before our Dinner at the Restaurant, whilst we were having a dinner, the restaurant manager came over to see if everything was ok with the meal, which it was, everything regarding the restaurant, the food, the waitress (Molly) was superb. I mentioned to the restaurant manager the issues with the room and how I had been let down as the duty manager was supposed to be coming to see out room in person, it turned out that the restaurant manager was the duty manager that night but no one had contacted him over the issue, after I showed him the photos he immediately offered to change rooms for us, as we were only stopping for one night we didn’t take this offer but he said he would speak to the Room manager at Handover so she could look into offering some sort of customer recovery in any way, he then took off the price of the wine we had as a goodwill gesture and I was told to speak to the room manager when we went to check out in the morning. At checkout, I mentioned our room number, but nothing was acknowledged. I brought up the issues we had experienced and referred to what the Duty Manager had said the night before. However, the Room Manager dismissed it, claiming no one had spoken to her. I repeated the concerns, but again, I was brushed off as if nothing was wrong. Although she appeared professional in her business attire, that’s where the professionalism ended. At no point did she engage in a meaningful conversation to understand the situation. She simply stated that the balance had been paid on my card and thanked me—an approach that felt completely unacceptable for someone in

Sunday lunch slow service tables too close together…the dinner was delicious when it did eventually arrive.. drinks arrived 35 minutes later we were told there was a problem with the order going through to the bar … our table was too close to two families either side I felt very uncomfortable .. I suggest you space the tables better … my Erin mess was very small in size … confusion with the drinks order ..

Went to a wedding on Thursday night. they had a great band there called THE KILTICS. The volume was so quiet as they were told multiple times by the wedding organiser to turn the volume down! The volume ended up so quiet it was pointless having a band there. They also had to finish at 9.30 so the house DJ can take over and I would say he was twice as loud as the band. I’m assuming they got noise restrictions there. but for the DJ to be a lot louder than the band later on that evening was ridiculous
