"Super Hotel. First-class food. Each time again."
Hotel Schwarzer Adler
"This Hotel was recommended by a friend. We stayed 4 nights for skiën and relaxing. We use an appartement on the 4th floor of the Hotel, because of our three children. The rooms / apartment was nice, good beds, sanitair also good and clean. The wellness is open from 3 pm, so if you not going to enjoy the snow you have to wait till the afternoon to relax. The bar is only open form 3.30 - 5 h pm (during the small snack). It is even hard to get a waiter who will or can help you. The WIFI ((W-lan) in the hotel should be perfect, as the reception told us. But in the apartment we did not have usable wifi. The signal was far to low and if you are with 3 children it is really a problem. We asked four times at the reception if they could fix the wifi problem, but no one came of communicated with us. At the check-out of the hotel we asked again, they told us that there were to many people using the wifi .... Wow, never heard that reason .... It would have been better if we had been informed instead of not responding or downplaying it. We are disappointing about the service (after being disappointed about the wifi and bar). The restaurant employees are very kind."
Alpin Art & Spa Hotel Naudererhof Superior
"We had two adjacent rooms on the top floor, which worked really well for us. There was no balcony for us (Crystal) guests, which was a first for us, but the views were still lovely. The rooms are very spacious with plenty of storage. They could benefit from a little more luxury or refurbishment, but they were perfectly functional. The beds were on the firm side and would be improved with a topper, and the bed linen felt quite crisp and stiff. There’s no kettle, fridge, or tea and coffee facilities, which would have been a nice addition. The showers are compact but worked well. We noticed a few maintenance issues: there were large cracks in the bathroom sink in room 405, and the curtains were coming off the track in room 404. A small safe is provided, which was useful. The spa and sky pool are absolutely stunning and really elevate the hotel to a luxurious experience. We ended up using the spa showers regularly and relaxing in the bar area, as these spaces were more comfortable than the rooms. Slippers were provided on request, and robes were already in the room along with a spa bag and handy numbered pegs. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is excellent, though quite rich and occasionally a little unusual. Dinner is a five-course affair each evening, plus cheese. Our two teenagers sometimes struggled with the menu choices, especially when the pork and chips option was removed, which caused some grumbling! They managed, but often relied on bread and soup in the evenings, so we made sure they had pasta on the slopes earlier in the day. Breakfast, however, is fantastic, with eggs cooked to order in many different ways alongside a generous buffet. The daily newsletter produced by the hotel was a really thoughtful touch, offering ideas on places to visit and activities to try. All of the staff are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to help. The lift lockers are extremely convenient, as is the hotel shuttle to the ski lifts. There are also plenty of sledges available to borrow free of charge, which was a great bonus. One thing to be aware of is that reception and the lift close at 11pm and reopen at 7am. We checked out at 6:45am and had to use the night entrance. Thankfully, we’d taken our cases down to the ground floor the night before, as otherwise we would have had to carry them down four flights of stairs. Overall, this is a brilliant hotel with fantastic facilities, especially the spa, and excellent service. Despite a few minor drawbacks, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return."
Hotel Berghof
"We stayed in Hotel Berghof, Nauders for three nights. Not only the sourroundings with the view of the old castle and mountains in Switzerland and Austria spectacular, the bike and hike possibilities just outside the door were outstanding. The staff of the hotel appeared to be just two persons, at least that what we saw, but there had to be more to keep the hotel in the shape it was in. Both our room, bathroom and lounges were spotless all through our stay. We were half board guests, and I recommend other visitors to take this as well. The breakfast menu was set, with a free choice of eggs. For dinner you could choose one starter, one main, and one dessert from the half board menu. There was also a burger menu you could choose the main from. The a la carte menu had more courses, but was more expensive. We had different courses every evening, and everything was great! I suspect that one of the staff we didn't see, was a highly trained chef in the kitchen. The female waiter/bartender was, even if she was alone waiting for all the guests, both at breakfast and dinner, one of the most effective and friendly hotel staff I've experienced. There was absolutely nothing to complain about at the Berghof Hotel!"
Hotel Erika
"A charming family run hotel. The room was spacious and very clean, with modern fittings. The restaurant serves good traditional Austrian cuisine in hearty portions. Helpful friendly staff."
Pension Tirol
"We arrived without reservation and asked one room for two persons, the lady said wil 65 euros and we could pay when we leave. But when we left the price was 130 euros. This was not mentioned when we clearly asked how much the room was for one night. Furthermore the room and breakfast where okay, nothing to complain. It just didn’t felt right she didn’t mention we had to pay 130 euros in advance. Radziu"
