The grounds, pools and beach were great. BUT it was the staff that amazed us the most. Friendly. Courteous. Helpful. Efficient. Kudos to Cindy at the morning coffee bar, Mary and the rest of the staff. We will be back!"

Graycliff Hotel

"My husband and I dined at Graycliff last night. The building and decor are stunning. The gentleman host was very stern (a bit like a scary librarian). The rest of the staff was charming and lovely. I ordered the “ bits of lobster tail with cream sauce” as an appetizer and was very disappointed that the lobster was so chewy and tough that I literally could not even cut it with my knife. The flavors were good though. Then my snapper came. Cooked in plastic, honestly I thought it said parchment. I would never eat anything that had been heated up or cooked in plastic! Again the fish was so overcooked, dry and chewy. Also cooked in peppers and onions which it did not say on the menu and had I known I would have ordered some else. It was a massive disappointment. I was also told I should tour the wine cellar but they acted annoyed when I asked about seeing it. To be fair, they were very busy."

"The hotel has a good environment, with a swimming pool and garden, and is easily accessible. The apartment is equipped with a refrigerator, induction cooker, and tableware, so you can cook your own meals. There is a small supermarket next to it. The equipment needed timely repairs, there was almost no hot water, the door lock would not open, and a new lock was later installed. Breakfast costs an additional $8.90."
