It was a nice experience. Amenities are very accessible.

The room looked absolutely nothing like pictures with an old dingey carpet and a tiny 28" TV. The fridge was broken and propped up on one corner with a stack of broken tiles to try and stop some of its wobblyness. The "private ocean view balcony" was instead a view of the trail to the children's park instead. The jacuzzi tub looked like the jets hadn't been cleaned in ages and were so black with mildew, neither my wife nor I thought it to be hygienic enough to use. The location itself was convenient, though, and was just a short walk to the beach.

Took a girls trip with my sister inlaw and a friend. We were greeted by a fantastic front desk girl (wish I got her name) who was so accommodating, kind and truly excited we were here for a fun girls trip. The room was small but clean and the sites were breathtaking. We ate dinner at the pub on site and the food was very good, it was busy because of a live solo artist so service was alittle slow but to be expected. We used the hottub both days which is set in a nice rock surrounding and even took a dip in the indoor pool. We played a few games of pickleball and also played a late night game of ping-pong. We watched the sun set from a pretty deck over the beach on our first night. On our last day we took our leftover food and a bottle of wine and sat at a nice patio over looking the beach. Our time at Pacific shores was wonderful! Shout out to Steve, the maintenance guy for being also very accommodating and sharing some stories about Parksville and the surrounding areas. We will be back!?

Stayed in the 700 section B room at $350.00 a night. Complained to the desk on the first day regarding the cleanliness of the room. White substance splattered on the bathroom door. Shower doors hadn't had a good cleaning in some time. Outside patio two plastic chairs and table hadn't been cleaned. The patio itself was dirty, not swept or washed with a child's bathing suit lying under the chair. Manager was supposed to contact us which hasn't happened. No air conditioning except a tower fan so we were lucky the weather wasn't to hot for the week. No safe in room. In saying all the above, the resort itself was nice as well as staff.

The particular unit we stayed in was quite outdated, there were others which had been updated. It was relatively clean but some areas needed a bit more attention (the kitchen cupboards doors/handles were sticky, there was lots of long black hairs throughout the unit). It is a resort/hotel however they don’t provide any room cleaning during your stay. There was no paper towel, broom/Vacuum cleaning supplies in the unit to tidy up the kitchen or other areas during our stay (1 week), when we arrived one bathroom had no toilet paper, the other only had a quarter of a roll. I called upon checking in a realizing this and asked for more to be dropped off, after many hours it still had not arrived and I went and found someone who would get it for me. As they don’t do room cleanings, they said to call when garbage needed to be picked up and place it outside the door. We did this in the morning and by 8pm, it was still there. When we asked the front desk if we should take it back inside for the night so an animal doesn’t get into it, or was someone still coming the response was “do you mind just taking it down to the garbage yourself?”. The grounds were perfect for our family and our stay, the amenities were perfect. The use of paddle boards and kayaks without an additional cost was a nice feature. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however if I were to stay there again, I would possibly look at renting one of the privately rented units, not one through the hotel to ensure an updated unit.

Beautiful property but the rooms need a major upgrade. I had silverfish in my room, the fridge smelled terribly and the sink took forever to drain. Excellent location but they need to upgrade and maintain the living areas.
