The smell of cigarette smoke wafted into my face as I walked in, and I felt like I was pickled after sleeping for a night. The decoration style is too old-fashioned, and the first impression is that it is untidy and dusty. There are no insect screens on the windows, so I feel uneasy when I want to open the windows for ventilation when I sleep. There are cigarette ashes on the bed. The breakfast is really rich, edible and solid. You can ask the housekeeping for disposable slippers."

The hotel's facilities are superb; the attention to detail is evident with different stone materials beautifully laid out in every corner. The powerful dryer in the laundry room was a huge plus. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the front desk staff were incredibly flexible and accommodating. We even received complimentary welcome fruit. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is old and run-down, and the service is terrible. There's practically no service; they even charge 5 yuan for an extra bottle of water, which is a rip-off. The hotel doesn't offer room service and won't allow delivery drivers to bring food upstairs to guests—it's awful. The front desk staff are extremely rude, very rude, absolutely rude. I don't recommend staying here. This hotel doesn't deserve a four-star rating; it's not even as good as a three-star hotel."

"The lobby was alright, but after checking in and getting off the elevator, I was truly shocked. There were private apartments mixed in with the rooms – unbelievable! Entering the room was even worse. The hygiene was appalling; the walls were moldy, the sink was covered in grime, the toilet was dirty, some of the switches were wobbly, and there were cockroaches crawling on the floor. I had a terrible night's stay. It was more like a hostel than a hotel. After this experience, I will never come to Quanzhou again. It shows how poorly managed the city is; how could something this bad be rated as a hotel?"
