Magnifique endroit en bord de rivière, dans laquelle nous pouvons se rafraîchir et observer les singes ! Un paradis. Les propriétaires sont incroyables, gentils, très serviables et la femme est une cuisinière hors pair. Nous avons privilégié cette option au calme et plus sauvage que dans le parc et sommes allés voir les orangs outans une journée. Le resort peut organiser le transport.

We had a wonderful stay here for three nights. Great little bungalows in a manicured garden just next to a picturesque wooden restaurant area with great views overlooking the jungle and river. Adil went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The river was just a short walk away and it's a great starting point for river tubing and jungle trekking. There are good restaurants nearby and the village is just down the road.

If you love nature, peace and quiet, authentic Indonesia, hospitality and delicious local food, then this is the place for you.👍😊 The Mountain View Cottage Lodges are located right next to Gunung Leuser National Park, only separated by a small river in which you can swim very nicely. For me it was already the second stay in Tangkahan in this lodge and again it was indescribably beautiful.... Our tour guide Ramlan, who not only speaks perfect German, but is also an extremely friendly and lovable person, organized my 2-week tour of Sumatra again this time. In Tangkahan you can bathe with elephants, head straight into the jungle, visit waterfalls and hot springs, go on tubing tours and take part in tree planting campaigns to preserve the rainforest. It was a special experience for me to watch wild elephants in the wild... Absolutely recommended!!!

We had booked a tour with Ramlan Depary Adventures (top) and had our first accommodation here. The location is unique with a view of the jungle from the room and at breakfast/dinner. The friendly atmosphere and the shared music with guitar accompaniment in the evening were unique. We stayed 3 nights and on the first day we went jungle trekking with Bim and Ramlan and were lucky enough to meet an Orang Utah family and the elephants while walking. On the second day we went tubing and in the afternoon we washed elephants, both of which were great fun. We would have loved to stay longer but of course the tour continued. We would also like to thank Bim once again for the great tour guide.
