What you get for $83
The check in was good I asked if the pool was open and the answer was "I can unlock it for you."??? We were not given the hours for breakfast. The room was large and clean but was dated and didn't have enough outlets near the beds and the remote was taped together but needed new tape. The AC worked great and was quiet. In the morning a Thursday, breakfast wasn't until 7 and was a very basic cold breakfast that should be disclosed on the website.

My wife, son, and I recently visited Nacogdoches for a campus tour at SFA University and chose to stay at the Days Inn Nacogdoches due to its proximity to the university. I selected this hotel partly because it was one of the more expensive options in the area with availability, assuming that a higher price would correlate with a better experience. Unfortunately, our stay did not meet those expectations. We arrived at the hotel around 9 PM, checked in, and proceeded to our room. Upon entering, I attempted to secure the door using the swing bar lock, only to find that it was extremely loose and not properly attached. The screws were ineffective, leaving the door lock compromised. Given the lack of a secure lock, I felt it was too risky for my family's safety to remain in that room. As a result, we left the Days Inn and drove 30 miles to Lufkin to stay at a Marriott.

This was a lesson in how lots of little things add up to a poor experience that will keep me from coming back.
The hotel’s palm tree completely obstructs the Days Inn sign from the west, so I missed my turn twice.
It was extremely inconvenient to be upstairs, and I felt like I had no choice without paying more or going with a much smaller bed, & I really don’t think the man cared. I’m a healthy senior citizen, but can’t comfortably carry a 25-lb suitcase and cooler up 2 flights of stairs.
It was noisy, with smokers in the walkway by my room.
No tissue box. The coffee creamer wasn’t replaced, so I did without my coffee. No mention of start time for breakfast at checkin, and no mention of it in the room. The “text if you have a question” got no response. The “free breakfast” consisted of some store-bought muffins and granola bars like you’d find at a 7-11 store.
For the small difference in price, I’d much rather pay a bit more for Best Western and get lots more for my money.

Clean, but room for much improvement.
Friendly staff and thankfully clean room, BUT there was an "odd spice" smell throughout the whole lobby. Front desk was messy. :( The worst part was that the walls are so thin I was awakened several times thinking someone had walked into my room or was stepping out of my bathroom. You could hear the people in the room next door talking, showering and going to the bathroom through the late night and early morning hours.

The floors were not cleaned the room had an odor and the blankets on tjr bed were as thin as the sheets. They could use a little remodeling and paint.

The receptionist was nice but not helpful. The upstairs room appeared to be clean but the floors were filthy. I always wear socks in a hotel room and here's a picture after one night there. There were two very small square bars of soap and no other amenities. The 'continental breakfast' was a joke. We got there at 7:45am. There were a couple of very small muffins and Granola Bars. Nothing to drink and there was no one in the office area, which is evidently also the 'breakfast room".
