Oceans One Resort

The condo had a lot of issues. There was a used toilet seat inside the closet blankets had stains on it. The washer and dryer was broken, and the host told us to use it anyhow even though it was a fire hazard. The host called me picky but I took pictures of everything. There was a broken bed there I don’t recommend it.

This place was a huge disappointment. First, the parking lot was infested with ants — and they made their way into our car overnight. Then we got to our room and noticed a strong musty smell... sure enough, there was visible mold in the bathroom and around the A/C. To top it all off, the hot tubs (one of the main reasons we booked this place) weren’t even working, with no notice or apology. Staff didn’t seem concerned when we reported the issues. Definitely not worth the money — won’t be back.

Don’t stay here! We arrived at the property about 40 minutes prior to check in and were advised by the front desk that our room was ready. We entered and I immediately notified, via text with pictures, the VRBO host that the unit that the condo was not clean. (Unit 204.) There was sand on the floors, dirt and BLOOD stains on the mattress cover, crumbs in the couch, the tub was grimy, filth behind the Murphy bed, a sucker stuck to the floor, trash on the bedroom floor. Very soon after messaging the host, some guy shows up to “clean” and says this is our fault and the room would have been clean if we had waited til the proper check in time. He immediately turns the blame on me, despite the fact that I was told to proceed to my room. Also, I guess the previous guest did all the laundry, made the best and half cleaned the unit, right? The Murphy bed, or the couch, had no bed linens or blankets. (They were to be provided, per the listing) Housekeeping did provide both, but they weren’t in the room as stated. When I asked for another fleece blanket the next day, via text, I was told that I was already given 2 at check in and they never did bring a 3rd. Mind you, our room slept 6, so this should not have been an issue regardless. I also asked that our host, Janet, call me and I got a response via text a short time later that said sorry they didn’t call, but the room was cleaned. I asked for a phone call again, never did get it. I’m pretty sure my texts were not going to Janet, but to this housekeeper because his phone was going off when I “texted Janet.” I did call myself, twice, nobody bothered to answer that either. The hotel itself had the filthiest pools and outdoor space of any hotel I’ve ever been to. Please check the pictures. You expect to see some sand in and around pools, especially at the beach. However, it wasn’t just sand. There was a panty liner floating in the pool one day and was there all day. The pool was absolutely loaded with sand. You could see the thick, white, filthy scum on the walls about the water line. It was like this all week. I did not see them clean the pools one time all week. Disgusting! Stay elsewhere!! Don’t make the same mistake we did.
